Works great!
I've already used this for a couple deer this season, and it works very well. It's a bit pricier than some. However, it seems more rugged than the one it is replacing, so this should last a long time.

Not very happy with this purchase
Not very happy with this purchase. I paid close to twice the price for this vs the cheaper ones, mainly because it stated that it had a poly rope, and not a nylon rope. It's definitely a crappy nylon rope.

Rope is not as advertised. Seller needs to update description.
Questionable quality. Rope is NOT poly as advertised. It appears to be nylon. Still, for the price I can't really complain. It does work. I doubt whether it will be working for long without replacing the rope with a higher quality one.

Just hung a buck with this unit tonight. Works great. It's built pretty heavy duty to. The locking mechanism works perfect to. Great buy.

It got a deer high.
The block and tackle set up works to hoist a deer. The gambrel works good too. The rope is too stiff, and the lock is tricky.

The rope isn't the greatest, if one wanted to hoist 500 lbs one would need gloves. The locking mechanism works very well once you figure out how to use it. There are no instructions for easily operating the locking mechanism as it's a bit tricky to figure out how to use properly. It's all about the angle at which you pull on the rope whether or not you can release and re-lock it easily. This product would benefit from better instructions in that regard. Other than that, the unit is built very well and is very sturdy.
