Hi, generally speaking there would be no warranty from Ego.

How can i ensure ego products purchased on amazon are covered by ego’s warranty?

According to the FTC, if they have a written warranty its illegal for them not to cover it if it's not through an "authorized dealer". It falls into the "tying" part of the act. All the batteries are interchangeable with their products.
