FROGG TOGGS Men's Pilot 2 Stockingfoot Guide, Fishing Wading Pants

Good wading pants, comfortable, sized accurately, and well-made...
I'm 6'1" tall and I wear a size 11 1/2 to 12 shoe depending on who makes it. I ordered the large size of these wading pants and they're about perfect. If your feet are any bigger than a men's size 12 you'll want to order the extra large. The inseam length of these is plenty generous, so that when I belt them at my normal pants waist or maybe just a touch higher, there is plenty of extra room in the knees and legs to climb up stream banks and step up onto rocks. You'd have to be nearly or over 7 feet tall, I believe, before the leg length became an issue with these. They also have plenty of room to wear extra clothing underneath if you do any cold-weather fishing, and the waist size is more than ample for my 36 inches, and would accommodate someone much larger. I think the sizing chart on the Frogg Toggs website is accurate for these.Construction is well done. I inspected them closely and the only flaw I found was one sewn seam up the back of one leg wasn't quite finished, with about 1/4 inch of the seam not quite sewn all the way up. This doesn't affect the waterproof capabilities of the pants because those seams are all sealed underneath the outer layer. The thread-sewn seams must be something they use for access to the different layers when they manufacture these. This one unfinished, or rather imperfectly finished, seam was the reason for the four stars, otherwise I'd have given them five stars.Used them for the first time today and purposely went in the water up to about two inches from the belt line and had no leaks whatsoever. The cold water sure felt good on my legs though, because it was 86 degrees and fairly humid here today. Walked through a great deal of tall weeds, some thistles, scrubby trees, and some dead branches hidden in the grass. I also sat down on and slid off of a big boulder. They show no ill effects from that kind of use.I usually 'wade wet' in weather like this, wearing just shorts and water shoes, but I wore them today to test them out for an upcoming trip to Colorado where I plan on getting in at least one full day of trout fishing in the Rockies, so I wanted to make sure they weren't going to let me down. They performed very well and I'm pleased with my choice.

Waist came to arm pits
The inseam was much longer than expected. Went to my arm pits. Returned them

Strike Two, you're out
Second pair of Frogg Togg waders in as many years, and there won't be a third. Upgraded to these after the $99 model started leaking after one year. They appear and feel durable but sprung a leak in a seam after about 8 months of moderate use and i was pretty soaked. I believe this model is pretty puncture resistant for day to day use but at this price point those seams should be solid. I'm going on year 12 with a pair of Simms chest waders and still dry as a bone, I wouldve bought their waist high waders but the sizing doesnt work.

I read an earlier review from a guide who seemed to like these waders
I purchased these hip waders for an upcoming Alaskan Moose hunt. I read an earlier review from a guide who seemed to like these waders. Out of the box, I am impressed with their construction. Definitely a little noise to their movement, but neoprene is out of the question for brush busting. I wasn’t sure on size so I ordered both M and L to see what fits better. I’m an athletic build 6’2” and 250lbs with a 36” waste and 34” inseam. I felt the L fit but was a little too roomy. The M fits my waste and thighs well but a little tight in the calves and ankles. That said, I tried the M size on with a pair of fleece wader pants and I felt they fit just fine with layers underneath. I’m returning the L size. If you are taller and heavier than I, consider the L size. Also, I felt the feet fit me better in the M size. I wear size 11 and I felt the L left me with too much material to squeeze into a wader boot. I’m looking forward to putting these waders to the test.P.S. Used these as I intended on an Alaskan moose hunt. They did not stand up to the rigors of that hunt. It could’ve been my wader boots, but the neoprene footies wore right through on each foot. The constant wear and tear on the lower seams seemed to weaken them as well. But, the zip pockets held true keeping water from my phone, wallet, GPS, etc. I’m going to buy another pair for some easy waterfowling but I would consider something different if there’s a good amount of hiking involved.

Best Waders for the Price!
The neoprene sock fits perfectly which makes the wading shoes comfortable all day. The fit is good, esp at the shins where many inexpensive waders run too tight. The pockets are wicked handy for cell phone and wallet dry storage. The belt has a super convenient closure that is holds well. Now the big plus ...the price! These reasonably priced waders lots of great features at a price that you can live with. I replace waders every 4to5 years. I can justify paying this price point that often, especially for a product that I like and enjoy. Well done FroggToggs!

Excellent waders.
Fantastic waders. Very comfortable. Just what I was looking for. Be sure to check the sizing, as it’s probably not what you expect. I checked the Frogg Toggs website, and can confirm their size charts seem accurate.

... got these waders and although the quality seems very good, the sizing chart for the bootie size is ...
Just got these waders and although the quality seems very good, the sizing chart for the bootie size is not accurate. I'm a size 10 and the medium size didn't not fit. I couldn't fit my foot in no matter how hard I tried. The neoprene where it meets the pants doesn't not stretch. Pretty disappointed I have to send these back.

These are great!
I have high end chest waders, but these have become my go to waders for small streams and bush wacking.
