This is an excellent book of dominican dishes.

Este es un libro excelente. Soy dominicana y no sabía cómo cocinar ciertos alimentos como carnes, sopas etc, ya que vine a USA desde pequena y mi mama casi no tenia mucho tiempo para ensenarme a cocinar. Este libro me ha ayudado mucho en la cocina. Te enseña a hacer incluso arroz blanco. Entonces, si no sabes cocinar comida dominicana, este libro es para ti. Este libro también es ideal para aquellos que saben cómo cocinar alimentos básicos, ya que tiene otros platos diferentes que puede que no sepa cómo hacerlo. Lo que me gusta de este libro es que todos los ingredientes son naturales (ajo, cebolla, pimiento, etc.) sin adobo ni ningún otro sabor artificial. Estos son platos saludables y deliciosos. Recomiendo altamente este libro. Lo único es que sería mejor si el libro tuviera imágenes en cada receta para que pueda ver cómo se vería la comida.

Exelent book has all of Dominican recipes and even deserts like majarete and habichuelas con dulce

There is some recipes where the ingredient is listed but in the explanation how to cook it is missing. When to add it or process it. As in the one "cocido" I am very disappointed. I guess the book is too old to issue corrections in several error or to be re-edited.

The book is interesting but it desperately needs a copy editor. Some of the recipes are incomplete. For example, the recipe for Pastelón de berenjena y carne's list of ingredients says nothing about the stewed beef mentioned in the directions. The directions simply say to assemble the dish with alternating layers of eggplant, evaporated milk and stewed beef. There's no mention of how to prepare the stewed beef and no reference to a recipe for stewed beef. This is user hostile.

Era una vita che cercavo ricette dominicane e questo libro ha tutto e di più.... Consiglio vivamente.
