Wonderfully educational book geared towards girls who love science. Bought for my 9 year old daughter that loves all things paleontology, dinosaurs, and science. I cannot say enough positive things about this book. Tons of information plus has interactive features. Highly recommend and it’s reasonably priced!

My dino-crazy daughters are only eight, but even in this supposedly more enlightened era, they've already heard "dinosaurs are for boys!." So I was happy to find this book on paleontology specifically directed at girls. Still, it has some basic errors that even an eight year old knows can't be true. The biggest so far: "the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles are a popular place to find dinosaur fossils." Okay, we live in LA and my girls have been to the Page Museum at the Tar Pits multiple times, but still -- any fossil-happy kid can tell you that La Brea is filled with Ice Age fossils... mammoths, sabre tooth cats, dire wolves, even a famous stone age human murder victim... but NO DINOSAURS. Tsk tsk tsk.

Not a good book. Not suitable for young girls. Information inaccurate as well.
