Huge relief on my heels!
I've had terrible heel pain from having standing/walking jobs for 15+ years. My heels would be killing me by the end of the day, and the next morning I would have to practically tip toe so I wouldn't put pressure on my heels it was so painful. These are AMAZING! My feet don't hurt at all at the end of the day anymore, I would 100% recommend, I've been using the same inserts for 6+ months now and they're still going strong

I'm a believer!
I have been using these heel cups for a week now. I have at LEAST as 75% reduction in pain while walking. For context, I have been suffering from Plantar Fasciitis in my right heel for over a year. I got rid of it briefly by using Spenco insoles, stretches that my chiropractor suggested, and icing. But it came back, seemingly with a vengeance. My boyfriend had PF so bad a while back that he got surgery on one foot, only to get it a while later in the other foot. He reminded me that these specific heel cups are what made his PF go away (along with an intense icing regime). I read one other reviewer here say that after diligently using these heel cups for about 3 months she was able to get rid of her PF in both feet! I decided to give this a shot. So far, I have to say that I have been able to walk several city blocks and not be in agony. My heel still hurts when I initially stand after sitting for a while, but it quickly goes away because of these heel cups. My primary goal now is to increase my activity - after a year of dealing with intense pain, I am in desperate need of walking and other activity because, of course, I've gained weight, which only makes PF worse. I showed these heel cups to my podiatrist and he did notice that there was a misprint on which cup was supposed to be for Left and Right and my boyfriend noticed it as well. So I swapped them on each foot and I think they were right. Yes, there is a bit of pain because if your feet are as screwed up as mine, it takes some getting used to suddenly have support. The ridge on the heel cup may be the culprit there, but when compared to PF pain, it's NOTHING. I have a small foot, but a wide toe box. The cups have fit fine in all of my loafers and my comfy shoes. I am guessing if you get the right size, they fit no matter what. My podiatrist recommended that I also try the Smart Feet berry inserts and I will, but I am happy that I have some relief. He also recommended orthotics, but who knows if my insurance will cover them, so I am grateful for the heel cups! Give them a try - yes $25 may seem like a lot if they don't work, but if they do, you will be so happy like I have been.

So far so good...
I have had heel pain for almost a year and saw a podiatrist who diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis. They recommended some stretches and icing the inflamed area along with taking some anti-inflammatory medication. Then they wanted to cast my feet for custom orthotics after 2 visits in a week span. I did not want to, nor could I justify the $600+ out of pocket expense I would incur from this custom product. I have insurance but my insurance will not cover "flat feet" as they put it, but would cover the orthotics if I was diabetic. Since I am not diabetic I opted to not spend the 600 dollars for something I thought would go away with the stretching and icing regiment. I was wrong. Some days I could not bear to walk or even stand especially after sleeping overnight or after long commutes in a vehicle. But I would stretch and stretch until I could stand up and walk off the pain. I wanted to find a reasonable solution to my problem so I found these heel seats. I was skeptical that these would fit my foot as I am a size 14 4e shoe/sneaker wearer but they fit great. They are uncomfortable at first but I have noticed in the 3 days I have been currently wearing them that when I take off my sneakers my feet aren't hurting. I can walk around barefoot without pain and in the morning the pain has been lessened by a lot that I am actually really impressed by this product. I will continue to update about my progress but I am most concerned about the longevity of the product. I am only walking with the the heel seat but hope to be jogging/running with these soon. So far I would recommend this product. ***UPDATE*** After about 2 weeks these inserts still seem to be reducing my heel pain. They are no longer uncomfortable with normal walking so I guess I am getting used to the feel of them. I still have heel pain but it has been reduced. When I sit for prolonged periods of time I notice the pain comes back so I know to stretch and walk around. The pain when I take off my shoes and walk barefoot has also been reduced. Hopefully after a month I still will see positive results. I have not walked for great distances with these on or ran with these on because of it being winter but I will try to test these out accordingly. ***UPDATE*** So it has been about 2 months after my purchase of these Heel Seats for my plantar fasciitis. I will have to honestly say that my pain has reached a plateau. It has not completely gone away but isn't as pervasive as it was. After long walks and long periods of standing my feet do hurt in the heel region. It is still not nearly as bad as it was when I had no extra support. I would say that this product does work but for mild to moderate pain relief. For the price I am very satisfied with the product but it has been as effective as it will probably ever be and I know that now. If I were to do it over again I would still make this purchase and also recommend to friends of mine if they had the same problems with their feet to also buy this product.

These are BIG part of pain relief plan.
My PF pain was so bad I lost my balance trying to step on my foot in the middle of the night. My son was calling for me and my foot hurt so bad I couldn’t get to him. I got scared that if this was a real emergency I would struggle to help him in time. I’ll cut to the chase, I learned was how to fix my feet by training my toes and building strength and flexibility in my foot focusing on end range training of the big toe especially. However, these inserts are a part of the strengthening plan. They provide fast relief and comfort (while you’re wearing them) so you can get through your day and at night you can workout your toes, feet, ankles, and both major muscles of the calf. It is critical that you work at the root cause of PF pain, these inserts are not magic and will not make PF go away on their own. You must do the work. Consider a “blackboard” type device to assist in finding the right exercises to truly fix the root causes.

UNIQUE! WORKS FOR PLANTAR FASCIITIS BUT...
From a practical point of view (i.e. actual results), these do work for Plantar Fascitis. Whenever my plantar fasciitis gets aggravated, I just get these out and they help alleviate the pain. I am CERTAIN THEY WORK, because I put them in only one shoe to test it and the foot with this under it almost always has less plantar fasciitis pain. HOW TO THEY WORK: They seem to work by creating a unique pressure area under your plantar fascia. It feels like a small soft bump running across your plantar fascia laterally. It feels like stepping on a very miniature "speed bump" for lack of a better word (maybe that helps stretch the plantar fascia when you take steps because your weight pressed down on the bump stretching the plantar fascia). It's a small soft bump but you definitely feel it. Bottom line is that it works but with some discomfort. BUT...There is some discomfort because of that bump. That is why I think they are a little annoying for everyday use because no one likes walking on a bump (they feel a bit awkward to walk on, but if you're in pain, they might be worth it). I don't recommend them for all the time year-round use because they are annoying to walk on. But definitely keep them around for when your plantar fasciitis pain gets aggravated. I have to admit it is a very unique product. I haven't seen anything else like this and I've tried over a dozen insoles. Also, the material feels like some sort of semi-rigid gel or rubber and so they have high friction on the surface. They tend to slide inward when you put your shoe on so you might have to figure out some way to secure it to your insole...or at least hold them down on the very edges with your figures when you slide your feet into your shoes. A major plus: they are very high quality material and will last a long time. They don't seem to wear out or lose their shape. The material and workmanship is excellent.

meaning that it made things somewhat better. A few times after months and months the ...
I've only had this product for maybe 4 days. I have plantar fascitis and a heel spur that I've been dealing with on and off for a few years. I have the $400 or thereabouts custom orthotics, I've gotten the cortisone shots, have the tennis ball under my desk, done the frozen water bottles. Everything worked SOMETIME to some extent, meaning that it made things somewhat better. A few times after months and months the pain would actually go away. I will honestly say I thought these heel cups were outrageously priced. I would have thought that $10 - $15 would be a far more reasonable price. I"ve bought heel cups and heel shock supports before and these are significantly more money. nevertheless I bought this. I can report that I've now had 4 days pain-free. To be perfectly honest while I'd be upset if these stopped working tomorrow, the four days of ZERO pain are something I probably would pay $6 a day for... so I've already gotten my money's worth. I will nonetheless report back if they stop being effective, which is of course a possibility if my foot gets "used to them" and starts being messed up in a different way. Of course this doesn't mean these will work for YOU. my podiatrist told me that everything I've tried has worked for some significant percentage of his patients so this definitely looks to be one of those "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" situations. At any rate... in case it helps anyone make up their mind here are more details about my situation: 1. plantar fasciatis injury. 2. heel spur 3. Worst pain in the am when waking up... and stepping out of bed to the point that I'd sometime have to walk on the tip of my right toes to diminish the pain. Yes I own the nighttime splint... I hate it... and I can't say I've seen that help 4. Pain also during the day, getting up from a desk after sitting, even for as short as maybe 45 minutes. Not as bad as the pain in the am but definitely something that would cause me to take the first 50 steps slower than I otherwise would 5. When warmed up the foot was pretty much fully functional. I do significant amounts of cardio workouts (mostly Zumba) and once my feet have warmed up I can do EVERYTHING the instructor can do at high intensity 6. The only shoes I own that I would truly feel comfortable in (AFTER about a week of hating them - I was told it would be this way) is a pair of bierkenstocks (the hard sole...the soft one is supposedly instantly comfortable but overall less supportive) Surprisingly after half a day of wearing these things on saturday I noticed that when I woke up on sunday morning I was in FAR LESS pain than I normally would. monday was even better and this morning I'd say I was pain free. I'm talking when getting out of bed in the am, barefoot on tile. With these on in my sneakers I've been 100% walking-pain free (I say walking because I also have some other form of general pain in my heel that comes and goes and that is not pressure-related... meaning it might or might not hurt while I'm walking and it might or might not hurt even if I'm sitting with zero pressure on the foot ... this has NOT changed at all over the past 4 days. We'll see if time heals all heels :P

HTP Heel Seats are AMAZING from a rare reviewer :p
I rarely, if ever, review items but in this case, I must. I've had plantar fasciitis and a heel spur for at least a year. The last three months were so miserable. Doc wanted to inject cortisone in my heel. After viewing THAT procedure on YouTube, I was pretty much freaked out. My daughter researched it more and discovered that there are products that actually fix the problem rather than masking it with a shot so I got busy researching it for myself. I ran across these heel seats and read a lot of testimonials about them. I learned that to heal the problem, I must provide daily and nightly support for it. I ordered the heel seats and a night splint on the same day. I'd honestly hobbled around for months, which I knew was messing my hips and ankle and everything else all up. I'd gotten to the place where I was desperate for relief and was considering the cortisone shot seriously. After reading about the shot and how it isn't guaranteed to relieve the pain (and watching those YouTube experiences - yikes!), I anxiously awaited my order of heel seats and night splint. After one night of using the splint and a day or so of the heel seats, my pain was unbelievably improved. My only regret is that I waited so stinkin long to research methods of relief other than shots. I cannot express enough the relief these heel seats have provided. I must add that I've spent so much money on inserts for my shoes and all I really need are these heel seats and the night splint. I have quite a collection of inserts that are useless. Sigh. I use the night splint faithfully and wear the heel seats every day and I'll do this until I'm pretty sure I'm all healed because I sure don't want to mess it all up and have to deal with that excruciating pain again. I'm on my feet pretty much all day and since I wear these heel seats every day, by bath and bedtime, the only thing I'm feeling is a twinge, but I know, after the vast improvement that I've experienced, that twinge will be non existent before too long! In the meantime, I will keep doing what I'm doing and be mighty grateful that I found something that actually works for the pain and doesn't involve a needle being jabbed in my heel. Bottom line: if your problem is plantar fasciitis, these heel seats are definitely worth purchasing. They absolutely work for that condition. But get a night splint, too. It helps to take away that first-foot-on-the-floor-in-the-morning-pain and if you have PF, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Leave the splint on until you're ready to put your shoes on with these heel seats in them and you'll be pretty much pain free all day! That's the goal! Thanks for taking the time to read my experience with this combo. I hope it helps someone :)

These will help with heel pain but not the arch.
They give a little relief but complete insoles are more effective. If you only have pain in your heals these are worth a try.

Works very well for me and good value
I've have four of these purchased over the last 8 years. XL Firm, two in the original black and two in the newer blue. I use them in my normal daily shoes and boots as well as hiking boots. Coupled with pretty regular inside use of Birks they have pretty much arrested and eliminated the plantar fasciitis I was developing in my late 40s. Are they the best? I'm sure some more expensive and/or custom solutions, particularly full insoles, are better, but those are two to maybe 10 times the price. Basically these are one of the better bangs for your buck and the real deal. I noticed some mixed comments but with foot things that's to be expected. You basically have to try them out. Everybody's feet, gait, and weight are different. The only downside I found is because they are fairly grippy rubber. They wear out the heels of my socks faster. I'd ask the manufacturer if there is any way to add a layer, at least to the top side, of something with a little less friction.

Useless.
Useless. May as well put a layer of Kleenex at the bottom of my shoe. And what’s worse? Can’t return them. Expensive and completely unsupportive.

life savers! IMO.
I had been suffering really badly with Plantar Faciitis for about a year. It was awful, really painful and debillitating. I had spent a small fortune on various inner soles and heel supports etc, but nothing did any good. I came across these brilliant inserts whilst scrolling through Amazon, read the reviews and decided to give them a go. I was so glad I did as the relief was instant and I could actually walk without being in absolute agony. It's about six months or a bit more and my heels are so much better. I can get up off the sofa to walk into the kitchen like a normal person, not someone who as soon as they stood up, could only hobble. I wear them every day and my heels/feet are almost back to normal. They support my arches , the fit is excellent and my husband, who also suffers, but not to the same degree, has also bought a pair. I'm not saying they cured me, but it feels that way. Out of everything I tried, these did the trick. I would highly recommend.
