Batwoman: The Complete First Season (Blu-ray)

I like this show cant wait to see next season

Batwoman was one of my favorite of the CW DC shows. I appreciated the through storyline and how they managed the transition into the second season.

Last year's crossover only gave us a hint of what we could expect from this show, but I think it has a lot of potential and I am eager to see what they do with Gotham in the Arrowverse

I was weary about watching this after reading the review... However, after watching I am glad I did. I was agreeing with a majority of the reviews the first 3ish episodes. At the beginning it looked like she was going to step into the batsuit and instantly be as great as Batman without any progression. However, in later episodes right before crisis that seemed to be fixed and I see a more of a progression arc being followed. Overall, Not a bad addition to the CW universe and expect a strong finish and great future for this show.

Huge Batwoman fan from the comic's first run. The show in my opinion is really good for a CW/ Berlanti show. It is sad that the star Ruby Rose has left the series but those are the breaks as they say.The hate that this show has received even before it aired was and is mind boggling. Fans really went out of their way to dislike this show's star and most aspects of the show it self. I disagree.I found the writing on par with most of the Arrowverse shows and better than some. I know it is not like the comic, but that is fine as long as you make it work in the parameters that the writers and producers set. I feel they adapted the characters and plots into a good format.As for the PC complaints. Kate Kane is a lesbian in the comic and the show. The character in the comic and show was gay right from the start.I found the action in this show to be well staged and Ruby Rose is a believable action performer (picking on her height is silly) just watch John Wick 3.So for the first season the show is definitely worth a look. I binged on it. It was a good freshman year.

A movie to be added to you list to keep and looking at.

So, I didn't realize they were doing this until I saw a Jimmy Fallon interview with Ruby Rose, and she casually mentions that she does her own stunts, and that she almost became paralyzed due to an injury sustained while doing a stunt.And after she recovered, she went back to doing stunts as Batwoman.At that point, I was in. That amount of dedication deserves to be watched.And then I watched the pilot, and I really really wanted more, because Ruby Rose does a great internal Batwoman. Dealing with family, romantic relationships, and the desire to be more, I loved her so much. For those who aren't aware, Batwoman is not a Batman replacement; she has her own comic books, and they've worked together before. I think both characters are cool, and the pilot does not in any way demean Batman (for those people who worried about it). There's just a misunderstanding that gets resolved early, so no worries.Is it perfect? No TV show is perfect, but it's very enjoyable. And, it's nice to have a main female character with complex feelings dealing with life, while wanting to stand up to injustice and help others. And, yeah, also a smart escape artist, which is pretty awesome, not going to lie. If you're afraid of women being awesome, yeah, probably not your cup of tea, but for everyone else, enjoy! :o)

Just finished watching the last episode. Very good! I love Kate and her step-sister Mary. Alice is a great villain and I really like Mouse as well. Great stories. Great villains. There are some really, really good fight scenes. The aesthetic of the whole series is really fantastic and very Gotham. The entire season is very much in keeping with the best of Batman.
