I spent a whole day touring NYC in torrential rain, and my shoes and socks never got wet. The only issue was I wore them with rain pants, and together they made me super hot whenever we were indoors. I would hike the rain pants up and lower the rain boots to give my legs a chance to breathe. They fit over my chunky ankle length boots which was good. The snap on the back strap kept coming off so I just took that strap off. Not sure what it is even for. You want a tight fit over your shoe, so work a little to get it in there if it seems too small at first. Gotta give 5 stars for doing it’s main job - 8 hours in the rain, perfectly dry feet.

These "are what they are" - inexpensive light duty easy to carry compact temporary shoe covers for occasional and relatively brief use. Buy them and use them for their intended purpose, not for bicycle riding, etc. Great for what I wanted: to get through snow from airport to car and car to destination, for those times there's several inches of snow but I don't want to haul boots around with me, since I travel for work all the time and don't check luggage. The soles are flat, so these work great with my "running" shoes that I wear most of the time. The plastic uppers are waterproof, and therefore they don't "breathe," so not great for prolonged were in wet/humid environments. The uppers are also relatively light weight material, so these are not designed for long distance walking or hiking. Fit is important for normal walking and to keep the uppers from working their way underfoot, where they surely wouldn't last long. I got XL, good fit with my size 11 shoes. 11.5 would probably fit, but I doubt size 12 shoes would. I bought a second pair, for another location.

If you want super tough ultra rugged water boots (used for work or wilderness purposes) these ARE NOT for you! But if, like me, you just want some light shoe covers to protect your nice shoes from mud and rainwater while walking your dog, or making light treks in your neighborhood, these are perfect. Got tired of ruining nice sneakers and other shoes with mud and water damage during short walks during rainy days. Before I had to go through hassle of hosing off my sneakers or worse putting them in the wash. Now my shoes are protected and I only have to use a garden hose to rinse the mud/rain debris from these shoe covers while my regular shoes stay clean, dry and protected inside. The material for these covers is kinda thin and flimsy...not sturdy enough for long term exposure to intense inclement weather...but perfect for (and a real time saver and excellent protector) in regards to light rain and mud.

Add says water proof. Packaging is labeled both water proof and water resistant. Wore kayaking 5/26 and both feet got wet. One boot had at least 8 Oz of water in it when removed. My cut off date ro return expired on same date or I would have returned
