Vinyl Record Guitar Picks (6 Pack)

Bought these for use with my bass. I love the look, feel, thickness, and sound I got from them. They did, however, all end up breaking within a few months, and I don't play very frequently. I do tend to play pretty rough when I've been drinking, and I drink a lot, so you may get more mileage out of them than I did. Would order again.

I bought these picks from Think Geek years ago as a gift for a friend. The guy I bought them for loved collecting vinyl and guitars, but upon opening up the package of picks and holding one, he refused to take them.He said the idea was silly, the picks were too thick, and they'd break easily.The picks ended up going to a bandmate of mine - one of the best guitarists I know. He loved the picks, and I do too!He mostly plays classic rock, blues, and jazz. He likes thick picks, and normally played with green tortex picks until these came along.The vinyl is great for two reasons - it helps your fingers grip the pick, and the ridges provide a nice subtle "scrape" sound to your attack.I bought a pack from Amazon just a few days ago, and they got here fast. I took a few for myself, and gave the rest to the other guitar players I know.The only downside is that these WILL break on you. They shouldn't break easily - not for a while. But after about 7 or 8 gigs, they will start to disintegrate.

Not thrilled with these picks. They are just like any other pick, solid black, boring.

Great picks break super easy due to ridges be careful

Got this a gift for a guitarist friend of mine, she loooved it. It's not as shiny or grooved as in the pictures though...Guess it depends on what part of the vinyl they cut or how old/new it is.

This gets five stars from me because personally it gives me the balance I want in a pick when I use one for bass. I like the picks very stiff (do not bend at all) but not thick or heavy and I haven't found a pick that does it as well as these Revived Vinyl picks. Being a fan and user of vinyl records, it's also great mojo, but as a professional bassist, performance is what matters.

Super cool repurposing idea. Nicely packaged and worth the price.
