I bought this hat for my 14 month old. My friend has had this hat for her son since he was little, and when I was complaining about how I can’t keep a hat on my son for the life of me, she replied “really? He doesn’t take off his hat”. I decided to go for it and get the same hat her son was wearing after reading all the great reviews. And holy smokes! He keeps it on! He has tried to tug it off, and he can get it off when he really wants to, but most of the time he gives it one pull, and when it doesn’t immediately come off he moves on and starts playing. I think the fact that you can adjust it to make it snug and harder to pull off is enough of a deterrent. He just came in from playing outside for an hour and this hat stayed on the entire time. I bought the small size, and he has a larger than average head but there is still plenty of room for him to grow. It doesn’t have the ventilation panels like the picture suggests, but the material is really light so I’m fine with it. The sun protection coverage is great too. Very happy with this purchase. If you have a kid who constantly pulls their hats off and you need some head protection this summer- buy this hat!

Fits big

Soft material that is not overly stiff or scratchy while still holding shape off face. Brim sticks far enough off face to provider shade to at least chin. Adjustable strap makes fit easy to adapt. Vented material help with keeping cool—highly recommend.

Great hat. It was folded in half when it was sentirely to us so there is a fold in the brim which is a bit unfortunate. But overall, my 2 year old really likes it and actually wears it!
