See Edit below: Measureman refunded me my cost. Good for them to do the right thing. I see they sell many other ranges that may infact work fine. MINE....Was a -15 vacuum guage. It did not go lower than 14.2 PSI which is NOT enough for HVAC work. Now, if you are purchasing another range ???? I can not vouge for that device. It may work just fine. My advice is to check you purchase with a known calibrated device. This is a great price for a pressure guage. Just confirm it is accurate. Original Post: Okay, here is the truth. This looks nice and works well except for one thing. IT DOES NOT GO TO -15 PSI which is critical for HVAC work. It only goes to -985 mBar . Way short of the -1005 required for evacuating a HVAC system. It does not go to -15 as they claim. I used two different pumps and actually sent the first one back because I believed the guage. Sorry Amazon....But One of your sellers misrepresented what their device could do. If your only doing general vacuum work then this is for you. If you must know the vacuum in a HVAC system. STAY AWAY. They are misrepresenting what this guage can do.

I used this as a vacuum gauge. The specifications say it can display -30inHg and -760mmHg, but those units are not on the display. I was very disappointed because I want to read the vacuum pressure directly without doing any conversion to inHg. The units on the display are: kPa, PSI, kgf/cm^2, BAR, mBAR. I addition, there is no contact information for the vendor. The warranty description is very misleading and deceptive.

Used it as a vacuum gauge on a process line. It seems to be working fine. Easy to switch units in which you want to measure vacuum.

I bought this vacuum gauge to monitor vacuum pressure on aircraft composite repairs. It worked for about 3 months, and now it will not zero. Now it fluctuates between -2 & -3.5 psi, and shows a false vacuum reading, usually maxing out and flashing. Also, the description when I bought it says it displays inhg, but it does not. You have to use -psi or metric readings. I am going to replace this with an anolog Ashcroft, so I know it will last.

The gage is well constructed and easy to operate, within minutes you have a good familiarity with its operation and the pressure response seems to follow closely. The down side to this gage is reading it quickly when open to to the pressure source, as soon as the gage is isolated the pressure is isolated the gage leaks down quickly. This rapid leak down puts the gage reading in doubt as reading at -13.6 psi drops to zero within seconds. Not having a gauge isolated and maintain that line pressure results in a questionable reading.
