Great until it breaks
The first time I ordered one of these, it lasted for several years, even with my kids sitting on it daily. I only ordered a new one because the grippy material got rubbed down. When the replacement came, we noticed that it was a little thinner than the last, but didn’t think much of it. Within a few weeks, it broke down the middle. I ordered another and made sure to be careful with it. I didn’t let my kids sit on it anymore and tried not to lean down over it much. Within a month and a half, it broke too. Ordered one more, and made sure to remove it from my lap every time I leaned down. It lasted longer, maybe 6 months, but now it’s broken too. I reached out to the company to see about having them create something custom with wood or thicker plastic wrapped in the grippy material, but I haven’t heard back from them. I’m going to explore my options are before I decide if I’ll spend another $50 (after s&h) on a board I bet will break in a few months.

So y’all are making them thinner so we have to buy them more often huh?
Before, I would’ve given this 10 stars. As an active wheelchair user this thing was my best friend. I took it EVERYWHERE. Seriously. I couldn’t understand how other paraplegics lived without one. I’ve probably gone through four in the past five years, but given how much it was used and what it went through, I felt that it was reasonable. Now? With how thin and flimsy it is, I doubt it will last a month! The last one I was even a bit suspicious of getting short changed, but now it’s so obvious. Honestly I wonder how much it saves them to make it thinner and ask the same price or if they’re preying on people that use them as a necessity, to make them have to buy them more frequently. I literally feel betrayed fr. I’d buy their fabric and make a thicker one myself, but now I don’t know if I want to give them any more of my money ever. 🖕

TOTALLY AMAZING PRODUCT!
Best Idea EVER! I use this in my wheelchair, but also on my lap in the recliner or couch. Nothing slips off, it stays in place on your lap. I have two. TOTALLY AMAZING PRODUCT! Worth every penny. Please make more sizes!

Very poor quality
This is basically a thin piece of cardboard or press board . If you lean on it or put something heavy on it I promise you it'll bend. The "grippy" fabric covering is fantastic in and of itself but it's poorly fitted and sewn with crooked seams. Such a great concept but extremely poor quality - definitely not worth half the price. So sad!

Should have got it sooner
Love the Lap Board don't like my color choice of black, I set the board down and struggle trying to locate it. Next one will be some vibrant color choice.

Could not live with out it.
Awesome. Non slip surface. I love that I can put a hot plate on my lap board with out fear of damaging the board or transferring the heat to my legs.

Great for wheelchair users
Love my G.R.I.P. Board, I use it everywhere I go. I've had 2 so far and they are awesome. They hold my phone, books, etc. in place while driving my chair and riding in my car. Also, they work great with the G.R.I.P. cup/mug holder. I can sit my cup/drink in the mug and not have to worry about it falling or spilling while I'm in my car.The only down fall that I've noticed is that after about a year and a half to two years, the material loses its grippiness (if that's a word) and you have to replace it. Aside from that minute issue I give the board 5 stars.
