CarlisleMagic Angler Kayak Paddle with Polypropylene Blades and Wrapped Fiberglass Shaft

I have a sit in top kayak and went with the 260. Should have gone with the 250 instead, so check your sizing.The paddle is very responsive, very well made, looks fantastic, and is not very heavy. It has an adjustment so you can have the paddles slightly twisted for more efficiency in the water. The blades are very tough and rigid, even strong enough to use to push away from the bank of a river or a beach.The hook cutout is helpful if you snag a hook, but honestly I use it to paddle and it works great, better than the paddles that came with my kayak.Again, check the sizing. I went with a 260 and should have gone with a 250, I would have asked for an exchange but missed the window.Only thing I would suggest is either use gloves or add a wrap to the handle because depending on the length of time on the water, you can get blisters.Overall an excellent paddle!!! I would certainly purchase again.UPDATE:Ok, I've been using this paddle for awhile now and initially I thought going with a 250 would have been better, but I have since then changed my mind. I did do a bit of a modification to the paddle. Instead of using gloves, I bought bicycle handlebar tape and wrapped the handle. IT IS NOW PERFECT!!!I highly recommend wrapping the handle, it makes the paddle so comfortable.

I wish I could review this item, however it would be somewhat difficult, as I have yet to receive the entire product. I ordered this premium kayak paddle for my son for his birthday. On Sunday we received half of the paddle. It is a two-piece and we received only one of the pieces. No big deal. I know everyone, including Amazon, is still reeling from the pandemic and besides, returns have become so easy. So I reordered the product and was pleased to see the Prime delivery was back to the normal two days. Today we received take 2. I know what you’re thinking - that we received the other half of the paddle. WRONG! In a box identical to the first delivery was a....you guessed it...curtain rod! Yes an elaborate, gold curtain rod!! Anxious to get on the water, our son set out on the lake 4 hours ago at an unusually slow pace and has not yet returned. I will report back and complete this product review once he returns. For now I gave 5 stars because I only needed to see half the paddle to tell you it’s a really nice one!!

I bought this in the 260cm. I'm 6' 3" paddling a wide/high-sitting Outlaw 11.5, and 260 is not too long. The construction is solid, like the ringed texture of the shaft, and have already made use of the lure retriever.One note: The color looks like a green/black swirl, but in daylight it's wwaayyyy more yellow than green.

Haven't been able to use it yet but paddle seems very nice and fits together well and much lighter than my old paddle. Only issue is maybe something that wouldn't bother others but the measuring ruler is facing the wrong way. When holding paddle as you should the numbers are upside down and start from right instead of left!

It's a paddle, matches my Old Town kayak's color scheme, and is light and rigid. What more is there? I'd buy again compared to other higher priced paddles on the market.

This looks and performs like a very high quality product. I have been using it a lot on my kayak. My only complaint is the shaft feels to me like it might cut me at some point and makes me want to wear gloves on my hands. The little ridges in the shaft cover are rough I assume for grip but just doesn’t feel pleasant to me so I give 4 stars.

Went for the only color for the size. Longest would be better but bad color…Paddle works great!
