Worth the money
Works great, keeps my ‘15 Silverado in V8 mode all the time. Exactly what I wanted after replacing cam and lifters at 100k due to imo the 4 cylinder drop off. No battery draining issues.

Works as described, keep the engine in V8. Smooth shifts, and runs well.

Took care of AFM problem.
Took care of the AFM problem. Cheaper way to go than going into a shop for AFM delete. Still pricier at $200+. Works with my 2017 gmc Sierra.

Helped with Some Issues
I bought this to disable the AFM on my 2016 Sierra Denali. This device is easy to use, and does keep the truck in V8 mode at all times. The first time I used it, my transmission was shifting better than it ever has, and I couldn't believe how well the truck was driving (I've been experiencing the harsh shifting of these transmissions and I've tried the new torque convertor and fluid flush to no avail). After several more miles with this device, the transmission has gone back to its old way of slamming gears. I'm glad to know that the engine is not cutting back on cylinders, but it's too bad that the smooth shifting did not stick around. I've seen several other reviews that say the truck had improved shifts, so I'm disappointed that was not the case for me in the long term.

Works as advertised
It works exactly as advertised. Keeps my 2017 Silverado 5.3motor in V8 mode all the time. I didn't want any valvetrain issues while the computer turns off 2 or 4 cylinders. So your questions would be: Is there a power increase? No. Does it use more gas? No. But for me it's all about keeping my top end of the motor safe!! As far as installation, there's nothing easier. Just plug it in and let it do it's thing. Amazon had the best price too.

works as intended at small mpg cost
Basically you just plug in and forget it’s there. Takes only a few seconds. Works exactly as advertised, zero instances of switching to v4 function once installed. I haven’t really experienced more apparent power that some others described but certainly haven’t lost power. I have experienced a 5%-10% decrease in mileage but still have seen 21-22mpg highway mpg in my 2017 GMC 1500 5.3 on relatively flat drives. Oddly I seem to have greater mpg loss in city driving than highway but I’ve only had this for a thousand or so miles. Truck had 70k miles when this was installed. I’m leaving it on and living with the mpg loss as insurance for preventing engine failure. I do change oil on recommended cycle, now 5k miles as well.
