Do Not Purchase This Book
As much as it pains me to say this (I'm a fan of other books in the Ironman sponsored/endorsed/branded series) do not purchase this book. It appears to be a translation of a European book, but the translation was not done well. For example the distanes referred to in the book are often incorrect such as referring to a 14.1 mile run. The book contains no information beyond mere platitudes and will be of little use to anyone who has any triathlon experience. If you are looking for a useful book on the topic of 70.3, I would check out Tom Rodger's book -- The Perfect Distance: Training for Long Course Triathlons.

Easy to read and understand
I actually using this book as my bedside book. Easy to read and understand. The best thing its the concept of training by stage. Highly recommended

easy to read and follow
This book is awful. I used the ironman 140.6 book for my first ironman with lovely results. It was clear cut, easy to read and follow, and even humorous. This book is nothing like that. It's a convoluted mess. Don't bother with this book, I look forward to getting rid of it. What a waste of money

Good Value
Great tips, especially for newcomer to the 70.3 distance or athlete who has tried one or two and needs coaching. Training plans are especially helpful.

A disappointment.
This book is hilariously bad. The issues are likely due to poor translating. Ironically the liner notes say that Ash is known for his 'famously clear writing' but even his bio blurb is confusing and poorly translated.Im disappointed because i had high hopes. There are short course guides and long course guides but i havent found a great middle distance book. The bottom line is that this book is not usable/readable in its current form and anyone looking for a middle distance training guide should look elsewhere.UPDATE:Ive been using "The Perfect Distance" by Tom Rodgers as a Half-Distance reference. Check it out if youre looking for a good middle distance tri book.

Ironman 70.3
Very helpful information for your first half ironman. I have done 2 now and have used the book to help me train through both of them. I would definitely encourage the purchase of this book!

Excellent for beginners
It is a very good book for beginners.Since I am a trainer, I was expecting more of a methodological book, with more precise scientific vocabulary.I am doing the program from the book and we will see in 6 months.4:30 is the goal.:))See yaaa
