Owala Flip Insulated Stainless-Steel Water Bottle with Straw and Locking Lid, 32-Ounce, Smooshed Blueberry

I am an ICU nurse who has worked with covid patients this last year and received one of these bottles as a christmas gift and absolutely love it! It is now my favorite water bottle to take to work since I am able to close and open the lid without ever having to touch the mouthpiece, protect the mouthpiece from anyone who may reach over or share my workspace, lock the lid when its in my bag so that it doesn't accidentally open and spill all over, and it keeps my drinks cold through an entire 12-14 hour shift (no joke, there is still ice in it at the end of my shift from when I filled it at home before leaving for work). The bottle is super durable and sleek and I'm so glad I was able to jump on the bandwagon because it is truly a fantastic design for healthcare workers and anyone else looking for a really nice water bottle. I will warn you though, when they say be careful with carbonated drinks and to make sure to screw off the lid a little before flipping open the mouthpiece, they mean it. You will have a fountain of soda explode up through your straw if you don't, speaking from experience.

This water bottle is easy to drink from with the flip up, sipper-style which is attached to a large straw. The straw is easily removable for cleaning. The bottle is a great thermos for cold drinks and keeps ice frozen for 2 days. I don’t use it for hot drinks as it is not recommended. Sipping through the straw would likely burn you. The flip top has a lock on it that is easy to open and close and is reliable. Definitely would recommend this product.

This is a great cup. I was looking for something that was leak proof, light weight and would keep my drinks cold all day. This is a great cup and perfect for the gym. Only complaint is that the plastic around the handle can be a little sharp but I am hoping it will smooth down over time. Love the color, very vibrant (pink) and I have already received compliments on it. Would buy it again or recommend it to others.

So far this water bottle hasn't leaked at all and it keeps the water cold for hours. My daughter loves the colour which is actually much brighter than the photo. Another plus, she doesn't seem to have any issues drinking from the straw.My main issue with it is, I am not sure how to clean the spout part. It doesn't disassembles like the Thermos kids water bottle. My second issue is I wish the bottle had some rubber on it to cushion falls and hits because when it falls it dents. Have it for about a week or two and it already has two small dents because I bought it for my three year old.

I really like this water bottle but I have a couple of issues with it. It doesn’t leak per se, but if you don’t keep it upright all the time it does this thing where water spurts out when you open the spout. Then it gets stuck in the area around the spout and you have to pour it out. So you have to be careful to keep it upright. The spout area is also hard to clean, there are a lot of little nooks and crannies. But it keeps your drink nice and cold for a long time, doesn’t sweat, the spout locks, and it’s easy to drink from. Overall I like it but a couple of little things could be better.

Pros:Safety is a snap. I looked all over for a water bottle I didn’t have to touch to open, hello we are in a pandemic. This Owala top easily opens and allows me to keep the mouth piece clean when I pop the top for a sip.The shape where I hold the bottle is semi-squared. This makes it much easier to handle for me, but it’s still run at the bottom so it still fits in all my cupholders. Awesomeness.Con: Very minor, the straw doesn’t reach the bottom so with a 24oz I have to refill more often.So, I just purchased the 32oz. We will see if it is just as convenient to use is the 24.

I know this water bottle keeps water cold and ice frozen for quite some time, but today was a real test. I left my water bottle in my car ALL DAY in 97-degree heat (the car was 120) and the bottle was really hot to touch. I knew the water would be hot too, but when I picked it up to dump it, I heard ice. I tried the water, and OMG it was still ice cold. 8 hours in the heat and still as cold as when I poured it.Amazing product.

I bought the 24oz a year or two ago, and at that time, the nozzle opening on top was different. I prefer the older style.I love the larger volume of the 32oz. The 32oz does not fit in my car cup holder, which is inconvenient on the go. The lid is easy to open and close with one hand, but when the bottle is full, water will spurt out the mouth spout if the contents are in motion.If the water bottle drops or falls over (regular occurrence in the car since it doesn’t fit in the cup holder) the impact of landing can easily open the straw nozzle because of the direction it opens, and this can allow spilling. I worry I can’t thoroughly clean the top of the water bottle, all the nooks and crannies.It will work short term for me until I decide what’s next.
