Falls short of life-changing
This device would be something I literally use everyday. I had box fans stationed throughout my house, but would have to carry them around and plug them in in different places within rooms. With this, I could work in my workshop in the summer, and walk around to different machines and workbenches, etc, without having to move the box fan each time. I could use it in the kitchen without having to reposition the box fan as I walk around, I could even use it to cool my face when using VR. In every application it seems to have the potential to improve the quality of life, and I never imagined this before I bought it. One thing where it falls short is in that the battery is not interchangeable. I'm so frustrated that so many modern electronics don't implement such a simple feature, because it makes all the difference. Instead of having 3 extra 18650 cells around and changing them when the fan dies, I guess you're supposed to have 3 entire extra neck fans because the battery isn't interchangeable and you can't charge it while using it. Fix this and this fan would be amazing. I returned it and bought another fan with an interchangeable battery.

Hot flash help has arrived!
This fan was recommended to me by a friend for hot flash relief so I thought I'd give it a try. I also like to sit outside and get some sun and fresh air sometimes (in the Florida heat!), and putting this over my shoulders makes the outdoors much more pleasant. As far as battery life, I can't say yet how long it lasts as I've only used it a couple of times, but the last time I used it, I had it on one of the higher settings for about an hour, and it never showed any signs of slowing down. I didn't even charge it that long out of the box, so it's probably not even fully charged. The noise is a mild hum. It doesn't bother me, but I probably wouldn't wear it at my place of worship, because others might be distracted by it a little, which is fine because it's always so air conditioned in there, anyway, and I can always bring a small hand fan if I need one. But for sitting at my computer, or out on the deck, or even at work, it's great so far. If you have a physical job where you're moving a lot, it can fall off of your shoulders, but to remedy that, I cross the two fans in front of my neck and it'll stay put. It might look a little funny, but you'll comfortable. I also discovered that you can point one fan into your neck, and tuck the other one down into the front of your shirt to cool your core a little (see my pictures). Sounds silly, but it really isn't that noticeable, (and so what if it is!), it's very refreshing. Plus it helps hold it stable so it won't fall off of your shoulders. I also hang it on my laptop and enjoy the breeze without having to wear it. I've attached pictures.Just a note: At first I thought my fan was defective because it wouldn't seem to turn on at all. Well two things to keep in mind:1- The lowest setting is "intermittent". It stops and goes every few seconds. So if you turn it on and it doesn't SEEM to be working, wait a few seconds. It might just be the intermittent setting being "off" at that moment.2- You may need to charge it before it'll work at all. It doesn't take long. If it just won't work, put it on the charge for an hour and try again.Hope this helps.
