Love them
The Athlefit Women's Work Waterproof Combat Boots are a fantastic blend of style, comfort, and functionality. These ankle boots have a sturdy build, making them perfect for outdoor activities like hiking while also being fashionable enough for casual wear. The waterproof feature is especially useful, ensuring that your feet stay dry in wet conditions, whether on the trail or in the city. The lace-up design allows for a snug fit, and the low heel adds just the right amount of lift without compromising comfort, making them suitable for long walks or standing for extended periods. The boots are well-padded, offering good ankle support and cushioning, so your feet don’t feel sore even after a full day of wear. One of the best features is their durability. The materials used feel high-quality, and the soles provide great traction, even on slippery surfaces. They're also easy to clean, which is a bonus for those who frequently hike or walk in muddy conditions.A couple of downsides to note: the sizing can run a bit small, so it’s advisable to go a half size up if you plan to wear thicker socks. Additionally, while the boots are comfortable for most activities, they may not provide enough arch support for those with specific foot needs, so using additional insoles could be a good idea.Overall, these boots are a great investment for anyone looking for a versatile, durable, and stylish option for both outdoor adventures and everyday wear.

They do the job
Really nice waterproof boots. The only complaint I have is the top of the boot where they are tied is a bit irritating. The boot tongue turns to the side on my left shoe. Other than that I’ve had them a month and I wear them to work in a restaurant kitchen and they keep my feet dry and they perform as if slip resistant. The laces are already fraying a bit though so I will likely replace them soon.

Not durable
I really enjoyed the feel and esthetic of these while they lasted, for about 3 months or so. I wore them A LOT. They keep the water out. Not super warm, but they help. But the sole came unglued from the upper, after about 3 months, and water got in, rendering them unwearable. I took them to a shoe repair shop and they don’t repair cheap synthetic materials. The traction was ok, but not great on wet surfaces. The bottoms of the sole are too smooth to grip wet floors. Cute, but cheap.

Great fit
Love these!! Love the color and I was a bit concerned buying shoes without trying them on first, but these fit perfect! (True to size, I wear a size 8 and I ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly.

Can't Recommend for Actual Hiking
I bought these to replace a pair of ankle-high combat boots that I've been wearing for hiking and working on our acreage for about a year and a half now - the ones I had were a similar price point to these, but not intended for hiking and work. Despite that, they held up way better than these, which are advertised as hiking boots. Maybe they should be advertised as "hiking style" boots? The photo shows about halfway through the first day of wear - you can see that they scuff terribly, and those scuffs don't buff out. The laces also snagged on every twig I passed (see photo), and constantly came untied unless they were double-knotted. I usually wear an 8.5 or a 9 depending on the shoe - I bought an 8.5, and while the length seemed fine, they were pretty wide, with a ton of room in the toe box, which caused my feet to slide around when walking. I also feel like maybe they weren't intended to be laced up all the way? I had them laced up all the way for most of the day because I wanted the ankle support, but eventually had to sit down and unlace the top two rivets because the fronts of my ankles were bruising really badly and it hurt to keep walking like that. I didn't even have them tied very tightly - the ankles are just really stiff, and I'm not sure if they'll loosen up over time. If you're looking for just a fashion boot for indoor/city wear, these may work for you, but if you're planning to do any serious walking out in nature, I'd advise going for something else. I'm trying to decide if I should spend more money for a pair of insoles and new laces and just deal with the scuffing and not being able to lace all the way up, or if I toss these and go for a different pair entirely. The one positive is that the soles seem pretty sturdy. I'm disappointed - I really liked the style and wanted them to work out.

Water and slip resistance
The shoe laces were tattered. I replaced them, easy fix. They are water and slip resistant. Perfect for my job.
