Fits 2008 Avalanche with 5.3
Quality thermostat from a long trusted brand. Fit and works perfectly in my 08 Avalanche with 5.3 liter engine. I did a complete coolant flush and replaced the hoses and thermostat with Gates parts and I've been running at perfect temp for many months now.

2008 GMC thermostat
Comes with seal and fit perfect, quick and easy to replace haven't had any leaks and no longer heats up when idlingDoes its job for half the price.(Will update review if any problems come up)

2011 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3l
Worked perfectly. FYI it comes with the gasket so no need to buy anything extra. I like that. Some of the units listed by other companies do not come with the gasket. So, heads-up if you are comparing to other brands.

Autozone junk vs Gates A+
Do NOT buy the autozone and local parts store bs. Buy this and your problems will be fixed. Installed in a Escalade. Was having over heating issues when I was stopped or going up hill install autozone ones and they would work great for a couple weeks then same problem again. I ordered this one as it was same day delivery while I waited for the OEM one from the dealership and honestly I don’t think I’m going to swap it out it’s doing great so far. So buy it and your problems will won’t be disappointed.

Bought for a 2008 Chevy tahoe
2008 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 it always stays at 210. Tried running it with no thermostat but on Chevies the AC doesn't work if it doesn't reach operating temp quick enough. So far it works fine and ac works.cheqper than auto parts.
