They hold great until you bump them
I use mine through the access hole on each side instead of using the sticky back. Doesn't hold sharpies or the big round pencils very well. Let me explain... They hold great until you bump them. Then they pop out every time. These are made more for the flat carpenter pencils. I should have bought the sharpie model like I first thought. Oh well, such is life.

Convenient, sturdy, & useful
Bought these to give to coworkers, really convenient to have when you aren’t packing tool bags on you.Update: 01/01/23; this is an absolute must to have if you’re in the construction industry! I heat the adhesive part up with a lighter to stick it to my hard hat. Mainly use pencils.
