Nelson Rigg Hurricane Adventure Waterproof Tank Bag

I do Not really care about how this looks - the function is the most important - NR has done really quite a good job engineering these heavy waterproof fabric, neoprene skirted top, side pockets (limited use due to heavy waterproof fabric but there), internal hook & loop tie downs to keep everything in place if you go airborne or take a tumble as well a hook & loop separator allowing two compartments. Keep in mind this is mounted on a Tenere 700 with a pretty small place between handlebars and your forward seating position so while the mounting is solid, bag held well in place, you feel it all the time especially when standing - still looks and distraction aside, this tank bag has the space I need, is water resistant at the very least and is sturdy-made - I think I'm happy with it and I think it will last my rather unruly off-road adventures! Oh and did I mention it is a really good value?! OK, I guess I'd better mention my only negative which is not terrible is the lid zippers, while nice water resistant models are hard to pull and the small slightly wimpy pull strings on the zipper will not - did not last - it was also easy to come up with something a bit tougher and easier to grab onto so not really a big thing - just be gentle with the pull strings on the zippers - I also used PTFE zipper lube to help zippers move easier, be more water resistant and so they might last longer...

I looked at several well known tank brands and settled on NR. This is the right sized to fit almost anything you need for a quick day ride. Simple to access. Wish it has more internal sections but I am please with what it does offer. It is simple to disconnect for fueling. I have it on my KTM 790 Adventure and it fits pretty good. It is tight and has not loosened at all when riding. I am not an aggressive off road rider and I do not notice any interference with the bag and my riding style. I also have a center mounted mobile phone holder and I can see it and use it while riding with no interference from the bag. With a lifetime warranty I am looking forward to really using this bag. Also purchased the Hurricane 40L backpack and it Is well made and a great edition for a longer ride.

Tanks bag is water proof and seems well built overall. 4 stars because the zipper tie broke off (I used a nylon string. I work better) and it is hard to zip open and close. It is ok is you make sure everything is lined up before you pull on the zipper. Also, when I stand on my Tenere 700, it is in the way. Not deductions for that, my fault.

5 stars I wouldn't advise buying for a Enduro or dual sport as its way to big but for a big adventure bike it would be perfect

This bad appears to be quite waterproof, the big problem is the steps that one must go through in order to access the contents of the bag. First you must flip up the neoprene 1” lip that is seated at the top of the bag to access the zipper, which is quite finicky. I do believe I’d rather secure a tank bag with a fitted yet optional rain cover.

Very high quality and attaches easily with front clips that make refueling much easier

Really love the size, and the craftmanship appears to be excellent. I was really surprised as other I was looking at were more that 2x the cost.
