Does this case have a magnetic closure?

It doesn't have a strong magnetic tight closure but it is magnetic in order to turn the screen on when the cover is opened. The closure is done by way of an elastic strap. Prefer it as it keeps things looking high class notebook style and also more secure than magnetic closure alone.

The no-Slip ribs appear quite raised and lay against the screen when closed. Will they leave marks on the screen over time?

They haven't on mine after many months of use.

Does this case have any pockets for storage?

No there are no pockets on this case. Only holds the S pen.
