This is the best stuff to get rid of the whole colony of ants fast!!!
I saw my Terminix guy using this on some ant mounds at my house and I asked him about it. I found it here on amazon and the stuff rocks. It kills the entire colony in 24 hours or less. If you find a trail of ants, follow it as far as you can and then deploy the gel!! It doesn't kill on contact but it kills the entire colony when they take it back to the nest and spread it around inside. Great stuff and I have had noting but great results with it. Doesn't take a lot to kill a large colony of the big red or black ants. Great stuff!!!

Heat-damaged, congealed product won't attract ants / Damaged on arrival
The gel inside the tube came damaged by heat. The gel was coagulated into hard lumps and is not useable since the ants can't eat it. The shipping box it came in was also damaged and one end was un-taped and partially opened. Cap missing from at least one of the syringes.

The product arrived fast and worked very well. I only used it once, and since the next day, don’t see any ants in my kitchen anymore!

Worked well for others. Not for us though. ):
We moved to a new house in January and we have a serious ant problem and nothing is working. We had a professional pest control company spray and the ants remain. We tried this and probably every ant trap there is with no success. Our ants won’t even go near this stuff.

OPTIGEL ANT BAIT CAME HEAT DAMAGED IN A DAMAGED BOX
The gel inside the tube came damaged by heat. The gel was coagulated into hard lumps and is not useable since the ants can't eat it. The shipping box it came in was also damaged and one end was un-taped and partially opened. Paid over $45 for shipping alone--almost the same price as the product! And in order to return it, since the product is defective, I will be required to pay the return shipping fees from Canada to the United States, plus the exchange rate. I am requesting a fresh undamaged replacement of this product free of charge.

First time use and they are eating it up
I have tried vigorous cleaning and store bought baits to no avail. So far after applying per directions the ants are coming in droves to eat it up and take back to the colony. I will update as time goes on.I am updating this 3 days later on July 26th. The day after and up to now there are no ants to be found. Seems to work pretty good.
