With WoW Shadowlands just on the horizon and the recommendation of utilizing solid state storage for the game, I decided to order this SSD to see just how much my gaming could improve (I game on an HP Pavilion Gaming Edition desktop with 1tb 7200 RPM HDD). I have used Micro SDs by this brand in the past and this SSD was def not a disappointment! Comes with Type-C converter (so do not buy a Type-C to Type-C cord like I did. The converter they supply will plug right onto the USB 3.1 end of the cord so you can utilize a Type-C port for data transfer). A leatherette sleeve is also included and works wonderfully - the drive fits nice and snug inside of it! Arrived on time and as described! For such an amazing value, you can't beat it! It gets a smidge warm when using it to game, but doesn't get too hot (do not keep it in the case when in use. It is aluminum and this will cause extra heat). Transferring files was FAST! WoW is currently over 62 GB and it transfered the entire slew of files for that, my add-ons, and WoW Classic in less than 10 mins! I highly recommend NeTac for all of your electronic storage needs. They sport a great value with quality products. 5 well earned stars!

Small and work great

I just received this a day ago so this is a quick review. I just wanted to put some benchmarks up running Crystal Disk Mark "real world" performance. This is running off USB 3 hub in an Opitplex 7060 in Windows.I copied about 60 gigs and it did take a few minutes. You're going to get better performance on large files compared to a lot of small files. Obviously it does matter what your USB 3+ gen is. as another reviewer said it does get a bit warm so keep that in mind if you're planning on doing a lot with it.I plan to use it in Linux as well so I'd recommend sticking with the exfat file system but you can always make several partitions in case you want to boot into a live USB situation.It does include a USB to C adapter so that you can use it USB-C to USB-C.It DOES NOT work in my Samsung USB port as it requires more power but it's not a deal I didn't get it for that purpose.

No complaints would buy again for sure. This little guy is fast, small, and comes with a USB A-to-C cord and adapter, and sleeve. Very happy with this purchase.

This is so cool beings it is small enough to fit in my pocket abd very light makes it literally feel like a Pen drive but not . It does have an adapter obviously for usb-a to type c , making it really nice

I was very excited to get Netac 500GB Portable SSD, USB3.2 Gen2 10Gbps, Type-C PSSD, Read Speed up to 500MB/s External SSD and use it with my iPad-Pro as a file storage/easy transfer files (mostly pictures/photos) from iPad to PC.First what was kind of annoying is that it’s overheating very quickly and stops working/giving an error message, and it takes a very long time and effort to get to work it again...It is advertised as “Faster Than Faster” “Cutting-edge Data Transfer”...In my experience it’s “so fast that” that doesn’t have enough time to properly register files:1. “Faster Than Faster” : I have to repeat transferring files twice and hope that they will be saved, sometimes even that doesn’t work and some files are not loaded/transferred properly.2. “Cutting-edge...” : Sometimes files transferred, but cut: 2-3 pictures cut and combined together in one (basically damaged and unusable)3. Even if it looks like files transferred to Netac 500GB Portable SSD properly, some of them I still can not open on PCLastly, all folders with my files together with service folders weight 106 GB, in Z Slim disk properties it shows “108 GB free of 465 GB”, what makes a capacity of the Netac 500GB Portable SSD (106 GB + 108 GB) 214 GB! I think this is unacceptable.Conclusion: The product is not reliable, frustrating to use, the cons are overwhelming, description is misleading (if don’t use stronger words). I would not recommend to purchase it

small size. Fast read and write speeds. My previous external drive wasn't fast enough to run modern computer games, and would cause them to crash. I've tried them with this product and they run fine now.
