I just received this croquet set,and I do not regret my purchase. I bought it as a way to get family members together and have fun! I want to build relationships, make them stronger, and create lasting memories. I had a croquet set when I was much younger--and I remember the fun! I am 70 years young, and a grandmother--I want them to have the lasting memories that make me smile. This set is beautifully crafted, the wood is solid maple as advertised, expertly finished, and put together. It will last for many years. It came very solidly packed together. The balls were individually wrapped in protective plastic, and in a separate box with the hoops that are also very heavy duty. The handles for each mallet were also individually wrapped in plastic sleeves. The mallet heads are beautifully finished, with a shiny brass ring to protect from splitting, they were again each individually enclosed in a protective plastic bag, and in their own box. The rack that holds all the mallets, balls, posts and hoops is also a beautifully crafted piece,solidly built and I can carry it loaded--with one hand. The shipping boxes used are very strong cardboard, everything arrived in pristine shape, that includes the packaging. And--they included a sheet of how to play the game. Amish Toy Box--JOB WELL DONE!

I am surprised with the quality of this set. It is definitely sturdy, durable and very well polished. I love the handle that makes it convenient to carry around. If it wasn't for my Amazon gift cards, I probably would've looked for something else. Better quality lasts for much, much longer. It's expensive, but I think it's well worth it.

When my 8-person 32" handle croquet set arrived I was very pleased with the overall quality and craftsmanship. The mallets are BEAUTIFUL! Solid maple construction, with woodturned detailing which really set these mallets apart from cheaper versions. The extra long handles are appreciated as well. Most members of our family are tall!The mallets and balls have a very nice weigh to them which should make play even more enjoyable.Some reviewers have noted the lack of sanding in the holes where the mallets are inserted. That is true ... but nothing that 15 minutes of hand sanding with a rolled piece of sandpaper couldn't fix. Not a big deal to me.Overall, I have thrilled with this set from Amish Toybox Co.

Very disappointed in the quality of the balls considering the price of the set. They are low quality and not nearly as good as the ones of the sets I’ve used before. Not only are they of inferior quality but they lack the appeal in design as well. Overall the set is nice but had I known about the poor quality of the balls I would not have purchased the set.

We were looking for a really nice croquet set and looked at other reviews. This one stood out and when we got it we were super impressed and feel it was well worth the money. I am sure it will be durable and last us a lifetime.

Mallets are well weighted and sturdy, as well as the balls. My family plays a lot of croquet, and I can see this set lasting years even under our heavy use. I ordered the longest mallet handles, and that works fantastically for us, as we are fairly tall people. The durable white wickets are highly visible in the grass, unlike many other sets I've used.The wood feels very good in quality, and everything fits comfortably onto the compact rack. My only complaint is that the rack is not very stable. It is a little top heavy. I worried it would fall over on one of the kids because it wasn't stable in the grass. It would be a better rack if it were equipped with wheels and a heavier base.All in all it was a great choice of a croquet set for a family that takes croquet a little too seriously. We have played several games already, and none of the mallets have come lose at all. I anticipate this set staying in the family for years to come.

I am very pleased with the quality of this set. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. This set should last a lifetime, the brass rings around the ends of the mallets should keep the wood from splitting for many years. I recommend the longer handles of the two options. My friends have an older set with shorter handles and they enjoy mine much more.

Seems good but noticed cracked in balls before we used it, mallets become damaged quickly and brass ring on one mallet wasn’t indented so kept falling off. For $450 this isn’t worth it.

Our friends and neighbors are raving about this first class croquet set!

You pay for what you get and this set is EXPENSIVE but it's also GREAT quality. We're very happy with it.
