ZUBI'S Organic, Allergen Free Crema de Jalapeno

I was looking for a taco/nacho/artichoke dip topping when I happened to see this product on YouTube. It is not oil free, but it is vey, very yummy. A bit pricey I thought, as many things are on Amazon these days, but I will be buying again.

First of all, re-reading the product description-- I definitely did not make waffles with this. Spicy jalapeño waffles just sounds weird, I'm sorry.For more traditional uses, this stuff is great. It's about the consistency of melted ice cream (so sort of runny), has a creamy, almost cheese flavor-- but is spicy enough that you'll mostly notice the jalapeños. I enjoy hot food and this is hotter than most of the commercial, big batch generic stuff you'll buy at the grocery store. it's just hot enough to make your hair sweat and drink a bit more water, but not hot enough that you're regretting any decisions.This makes a decent dip for chips (it is a bit runny), but we've found it to be a good topper or dipping sauce for taquitos and similar Mexican food. You could also drizzle this over a plate of nachos or mix it in with some actual queso to spice it up a bit. I'd think of it like an ice cream topper/sauce, but for Mexican food.Overall, this stuff is delicious-- and while it is kind of hard to pin down what it is supposed to be (a dip? A topper? For waffles?? Still No on the waffles), it is tasty and flexible enough to find a place in many dishes.

I love zubis. The crema, the queso and the salsa are YUMMY. I'm a very sensitive Celiac and I can't have dairy either! I've ordered often. NEVER an issue. Love it

Zubi’s crema is our favorite topping for breakfast omelettes. It is super spicy so we add droplets as the finishing touch to the top of our omelettes.

I have found that eating dairy-free is better for me, so I am always on the lookout for easy swaps that will taste good. I have found that a good dip is hard to find, so I was excited to try this, as it is free of the major allergens, but still boasts that it is full of flavor.The texture is a bit off - I would say it is slightly gritty. However, the jalapeno flavor is strong, and the flavor is delicious! Make sure to have a drink nearby. It's perfect for dipping chips in or adding as a topper. I have eaten it cold or heated up and love the versatility there. The ingredient list is short, recognizable, and justifiable - just what I want in a food. I love that it is organic, too.This is a great option for those with food allergies or those who want to eat better. I recommend giving it a try.

This "Zubi's Crema" is deceiving, you do need to read in details, it is not *just* a crema, it is actually a "Crema de Jalapeno"! I love spicy, so this is perfect for me, but I can totally see how some who cannot eat spicy may accidentally pick this up when looking for "mexican crema", which is more like a lighter creme fraiche.This "Zubi's Crema de Jalapeno" is very tasty, I love the complex flavor profile, great balance in tanginess, spicy and creamy. The heat perfect, especially when you eat it as a dip, I would actually rate it more like "3/4" rather than the "2/4" on the product label. I found so many use for it, I can dip like everything with it, chips, vegetables, fries (and basically anything fried). I use it on salads, and I used it on cooked meats too. Putting it in tacos works of course; and I also use it on my Prime Rib Burger, it worked wonders.Unfortunately I think it is a little pricy ($7-8 for an 8oz bottle), that may be my only reluctance to give a full 5-stars recommendation on it.Thank you for reading this review, I hoped that this review & the pictures are helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.
