Q: Is it really 45w output? My calculation says that with a 5 volt usb input this would draw 9 amps. Most usb ports output 2~ amps.

So glad someone else has noticed this. The rating seems a tad optimistic. Perhaps they mean roughly the same lumen output as a 45w GLS lamp but it's far from clear. All the best :)
