Lots of actual good recipes
So many cookbooks call for ingredients I would never use again or it’s too complicated. This book has loads of great recipes that are easy to prepare, yummy and unique.

Try it you'll like it! good for vegetarians too...
Even though this book is not specifically meant for vegetarians, it contains a lot of vegetarian recipes.I found this book better than some vegetarian recipe books because the recipes contained are simpler easier to make than some of the exotic type books. I like plain western style foods so this book is good for that. Very nice pictures too.

Lots of good choices here
I have made a few of these and they are great. Sometimes it is nice to have a idea book for new sides!

Buy if you donr know how ro make mashed potatoes
I love the amount t of pictures and it does carry a large number of recipes. My main issues with the book have to do with the vegetable section. With the title healthy I assumed they were going to be plenty of ideas on how to cook vegetables I had never thought of. Instead you get about 2/3 worth of potato recipies. The potato while delicious is barely beneficial and yeah i know you can make them mashed, and baked etc. Why buy a book that show such little intrest in achieving it's title.

Disappointing
Not Bettys usual cookbook. And I have them all. Very disappointed.

KEEPER
This is a GREAT cookbook. I've made 6 things and all 6 have been awesome. They are really easy to put together too. I have a bookcase full of cookbooks and find myself grabbing this one ALOT.

I happen to love Cooking Light magazine recipes
I happen to love Cooking Light magazine recipes, so I may be biased. However, I also love pictures next to recipes as that is often what entices me to try something. This has some great variety, with pictures, from my favorite Cooking Light so 5 stars here.

Tastes good as well as being good for you.
Great for new ideas for sides that aren't calorie laden.
