I only have a few of these, so take this with a grain of salt, but I haven't had any failures yet, unlike some of the other cables I've bought over the years. I confirmed that the cables are properly wired, and the shields are electrically connected end-to-end. I'm not about to cut one open to verify that the pairs are properly shielded, nor do I have test equipment to verify that these are wired correctly, but I can only conclude that the review I read complaining about the shield being disconnected got a bad cable (or bad batch of cables). I plan to order a few more of these. If I don't start trashing them pretty soon, you can assume they were all good.

I am running this ethernet cable from my Orbi Mesh Router to my bluesound vault 2i streamer I bought this cable hoping it would give me some decent results. I was shocked at just how good music sounded coming from this ethernet cable. I wanted to find out just how good it was, so I compared it to an audioquest cinnamon cable, which is about 20 times the price of the amazon cable, not only did this cable keep up with the cinnamon cable, it provided a little more slam on the low end. Don't waste your time and money buying a high end cable. Trust me this cable gives you big bang for your money. My comparison was two different cables both about 5ft in length, hopefully you will get the same results with longer cables. The one negative aspect i found was it was little tight removing cable from router. Otherwise Fantastic!

It neither increased or decreased my speed. I was hoping I could manage to get 1Gbps coming out of my Wi-Fi signal since it supports WiFi 7(6ghz). I hoped upgrading from C6 to C7 would help that, but unfortunately it didn’t. I may have a couple mbps higher possibly? It’s hard to say. Otherwise, the quality is made very well. And it is very sturdy. If you want a good cord, it can support up to or over 1Gbps. All depends on your router and settings, if it outputs.

I recently upgraded to fiberoptic service and wasn't getting the speed I was paying for with my older cables. My Cat 5e cable should have worked, but maxed out at 90 mbsp. With this cable, I am now north of 900 mbps and loving it. The connectors on these fit my routers snug and true. I was worried as some say Cat 7 and its connectors are not the way to go but I have no regrets.
