This is my second one...
I received one of these as a gift about 10 years ago. I kept it plugged in 24/7 about 6 months of the year, and it finally died, not because the heater failed, but because the plastic dried out and started crumbling! For the price, I got every penny out of that thing, it owed me nothing! So I bought a brand new replacement!

Works perfect. Silent but effective
Commercial construction worker... glazier/asbestos abatement. My boots really started staaaaanking. Was disappointed at first because I didn't read exactly how the product worked.. then after I used it for a night.... all I can say is that it does the trick beautifully! Can leave your boots on it all weekend and not worry about a thing. This with some medicated gold bond will fix any and all boot stink!

You get what you pay for.
Works well, very basic, you get exactly what you pay for. If you’re looking for something to dry soaking wet shoes I would recommend getting a different dryer however for cold/damp shoes it works great

The worst part, there's no switch on the unit
This is for damp boots/shoes only, not wet! It is not a fan forced unit so it takes overnight to dry damp shoes. It says in the owners manual it was not designed to dry completely wet shoes. The worst part, there's no switch on the unit! To save 25 cents per unit, the manufacturer doesn't put a switch on which means you have to plug/unplug all the time. If your outlet is not in a convenient spot (like behind cabinets or furniture) this is a huge inconvenience. All this to save a quarter per unit. There should also be a timer! But if you can live without switch or timer, and can wait overnight for damp shoes to dry, it does an okay job. I recommend spending a few bucks more and get a unit with timer!
