Great Twine - Don't Push It's Limits
I am exceptionally pleased with the twine. I grade it exceptional. BUT - If you are looking for twine to use as a lifting handle or heavy overhead loads, this isn't it. First - This is a thin twine. 1/16 of an inch thick. For those with a cheap school-type ruler, that's the smallest division between two lines on the inch side (Rulers generally go Inch, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, then 1/16th). Designed for light loads. I'm only posting this because I kept reading "My string broke". The item description clearly states:"Jute String for Industrial Packing Material, Arts & Crafts, Gift Wrapping, Garden Planting, School Projects". No idea about the "Industrial Packing" bit, but nowhere does it claim to be able to bind and lift 30-50 pounds. It won't. It will bind 30 pounds, but if you attempt to lift that using the twine as a handle, expect to pick it back up. It WILL keep a cake box closed. It will securely keep a clothing box closed. It's going to work great to tie back garden plants and to secure them to stakes (think tomatoes). Arts & Crafts - will totally work. Will it keep a Heavy Coat or Sleeping bag rolled up? Yes. I'm going to use 2-3 strands of it to bundle my giant Texas weeds I'm clearing off and foresee no issues in doing it. But those will weigh less than 15 pounds and I'm using 2-3 strands per bundle. But it will NOT work to bale hay. A small square hay bale weighs 40 pounds. And this jute just isn't going to hold it long if you try to pick it up and tote it by the twine. Plus you'll end up with twine cuts or at least twine burned fingers. Which is a good test - if you think you need gloves to lift your bundle, you need larger stronger twine. I suggest para-cord or hay twine. As an idea of THIS twine's tensile strength - If I wrap it around my hands and pull hard as I can without injury, I can not break it. If I wrap it around 2 dowels (sticks) and do the same I can break it. Guessing it will easily bind and hold 8 inches of stacked newspaper. A foot tall stack or more? No.Again, I'm very happy with my purchase, it's a really good quality twine, but "It is what it is", which is 1/16th of an inch thick Jute twine.

Just No
This says heavy duty...it is anything but. It is the tiniest, thinnest string of jute I’ve ever seen.

PERFECT for tying up tomato plants
I am VERY happy with this product. I bought it specifically to tie up tomato plants in our raised bed planter, and it works great for that. BUT I will be able to use it for many other things too - arts/crafts, gift wrap, etc.Very useful and exactly as described.

To thin. Just snaps.
Too thin for anything but a paper label.

broke after a few months in garden
Bought this to tie up my tomatoes. After about two months, the twine started breaking. We have had a dry summer, high heat which might have contributed. Will not purchase again for this purpose.

Not as thick or strong as I had wanted
This string is okay. It works but if you pull on it, it will break. If you are gentle with the string it works fine.

Great string
My wife uses this to tie up her vegetable plants in the garden. It is strong and hold up well in the summer sun and high 90s temps.

Basically, a con
Amount is much smaller than expected. Product not as in the pictures. Rope thin and flimsy. Extremely overpriced for what it is. Just buy one for 2 dollars elsewhere. Amazon should take this down due to falsehood in advertising. This is not "heavy duty" as claimed.
