Excellent bottle cage mount, topeak makes some quality bike components, it fits securely, and snaps in place every time, I was looking into the fid magnetic system but ultimately decided on this since this one doesn't require proprietary bottles and proprietary mounting system, I can use any cage and water bottle I want with this, and it's much more affordable.I like the clean lines of having no water bottle on my bike, but do like to use one when climbing uphill, this is perfect, so I can quickly remove the bottle and cage, throw it in my backpack for the downhill runs, or days I just don't need the water bottle like when it's cold or when I need to use a camelbak.Of course, I will update my review if anything changes, but so far I am highly satisfied with this product.

I like the easy switch function

It doesn't fit on a mountain bike frame. there is not enough straight tubing in the frame. but it looks well made.

I have a bottle cage that also holds my on-bike tools like wrenches, and chain breaker along with my pump, and while I love having all of that together, so I never have to worry about carrying them separately...I have found that every so often, I dont need to take all of that on the bike.Half day rides that require my hydration pack already have all of those tools and pumps and stuff in them - so its either: clear out the tools from the pack every time, OR just take the bottle cage off of the bike - and this quick release setup does that beautifully.It was easier to add this to my existing setup than it was to bolt the bottle cage onto the bike, and though the package comes with slightly shorter bolts to bolt your cage to the light grey material, my bottle cage couldnt use those bolts - so I simply had to grind my existing bolts down just a bit.When all is said and done, its an extremely well designed system and I never once worried about the QR mount coming off or prematurely releasing my bottle cage.I am betting this is tons more secure than the Bontrager XR mounts, as there is no way to accidentally unclip this.If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would.

The latch broke off after a few rides. Other than that, its great and fits perfect on my mtb frame.

It is probably a good idea to get a couple of these for anyone who want to change what they keep on their bottle cage screws. It makes it simple to choose from a standard bottle cage to a storage bag.

It shifts the mounting position just a little (maybe 1/2 inch), which actually is nice as it either moves down to make room for for bigger bottles, or puts it higher, for easy reach.The caveat part is that my co-mounted Topeak Pocket Rocket Master Blaster Bike Pump no longer fits with this quick release mounted. No matter what side you try to mount the pump, you either make the release button hard to push, or it blocks it from sliding off. In my case, I had another mounting spot and just moved the pump.That said, the install was easy, its very secure, and gets a full 5 stars for doing what it says, and does it well.

I couldn't remove the battery with a fixed bottle holder installed and this was the perfect solution. It slides off so I can lift out the battery.
