book boyfriend
It was weird to read a book entirely from Masonβs point of view. I definitely liked both him and Logan more after reading the first four books in Fallen Crest series.

Perfect Mason inside look
I have a Tijan addiction! This book is perfect for reading after the Fallen Crest series because it gives the reader a great insight into what makes Mason the person he is. I loved reading that he was a little boy who hurt bad when his parentβs marriage was breaking apart. In spite of his young age, he was responsible for his little brother Logan, took care of him and protected him from the worst of his parentsβ marriage implosion. He was witness to his motherβs drinking, constant crying and his fatherβs constant cheating. Itβs no wonder heβs full of anger and disdain at his parents, who did such a crappy job of loving and protecting their kids. All Masonβs love and protection is for his little brother and thereβs not much he wonβt do to protect him and he actually did. We get the inside scoop into things that happened before the series began, and what is best, we get his reaction when he first saw Sam.Itβs an awesome read, but of course itβs Tijan, there are no bad reads from this wonderful author. The book is a must read for those of us who are Tijan addicts and Fallen Crest fans!

Do you know who Mason Kade is?
Do you know who Mason Kade is? What made him be the protective, strong, confident, sexy a**hole that we all LOVE? Well if you ever wondered what made him into the man he is, now you know! And I can't help but love him even more! AHHH! I loved learning about his life growing up and how hard things truly were for him and Logan! There is no series that compares to Fallen Crest, and I am so glad to have more insight into "my" Mason!"I got sh*t done. That was my job. That, and football, were the two things I excelled at."This is the prequel to the Fallen Crest Series, so we start out when Mason has just started high school. He is already popular because he is a Kade, but also because he is the star football player. But life at home is hard, and only getting worse. His father (I hate him so much more after this book) is a d**chebag and broke their family (although his mother for me wasn't much betterβ¦)!"Lies. The whole house was full of lies, except Logan. He was the only one who had never lied to me."Now it was him and Logan against the world. He would protect his brother no matter what. I loved his protective side of a young Logan (the no having s*x partβ¦ is HILARIOUS!). We get to see how they became so close and share such a strong bond that we all love in the other Fallen Crest books. But we also learn that Mason is only an a** when he has to be. It is not who he wants to be, but he will do whatever it takes to protect those he loves. (God I love him!)"Feeling the old restlessness and anger in me, it was all boiling together. I needed to get laid or I'd end up getting in a fight."We get details on tons of drama (Tate & Logan, Kate & Mason, Nate moving, Marissa, and more) that we all wanted more of from the series. I especially loved how Tijan brought it full circle, and we really got to witness the instant connection Mason had to Sam before they ever even spoke to one another! I couldn't love it anymore, and now I MUST re-read the entire series and PATIENTLY (ha yeah right) wait for Fallen Fourth Down!"I fought against smiling at her. She was hot. I knew Logan was going to think so too, but d*mn, I didn't know if I could pass this one up."

I love Mason, but only the Mason I know with ...
I have been so hesitant to read this book that I put it off for over a year. I love Mason, but only the Mason I know with Sam. Of course, I know he wasn't a saint before falling for her, but I didn't want any more details. However, I was in need of a Tijan fix, so I went against my better judgement and read Mason. I loved/hated it. I love Tijan. I love the Fallen Crest series. I hate Mason sleeping around. I have a misguided sense of loyalty to Sam and feel like he's cheating on her. It's ridiculous since they haven't met yet when he's sleeping his way through the female population, but that's how I feel. This is a good addition to the series. It covers their early high school years including the end of their parent's marriage. It's the period right before they completely rule Fallen Crest. The beginning of the Legend's, so to speak. It provides more insight into Mason, Logan, and even Nate. I like getting the full story of how Mason and Logan came to be as strongly united as they are. Their family life sucked. It wasn't as bad as many have it growing up, but still, it was bad enough to damage both of them. Both parents disgust me. I love Mason's protectiveness towards Logan and Logan's hero worship of his older brother. My heart broke for both of them at times. I also really enjoyed getting to know Nate better. I never really understood how the bond was so strong between him and Mason before seeing what a good friend he was before being sent off. I hate Kate even more than I did originally after reading this book. Didn't think that was possible! Not a fan of Tate's either. My opinion of the FC girls didn't improve with more back story.I loved seeing the first contact between Mason and Sam in the Quickie's parking lot, but I was disappointed that the book ended right then. A companion novel to the first book, to see everything from Mason's view would be wonderful! I can't get enough of these two. This was a good Tijan fix, but I really need the next FC books to be released!!

Only 15/16 Year Olds - Really?π³ Emotive!!πππ‘π₯
Mason (Fallen Crest Series Book #0.5)This is a really good insight to how Mason & Logan became so close & inseparable. They've lived in a mansion, had anything they wanted but never what they needed - their Parents affection & attention!ππ Their parents eventually split up & divorce, it's almost a relief to them, they won't hear their Mum sobbing every night every night now, while their Dad's out dipping his wick in anything that moves!!π’ππ‘Mason's anger & rage keeps growing - the girls machinations to get close to them really gets to Mason, especially when Logan gets caught in the crossfire!π‘π² He won't stand for more people hurting him, their Parents have already hurt him enough. The stuff all of these kids do & say for their ages, it's scary!!ππ³This a good, insightful & explosive look in to the boys just before Samantha moves in with them!!ππ₯Debbie, 1970, UK

Good Additional Insight - Recommended for Fans of this Series
Overall, this was a great addition to the series and it provided further insight to Mason, Logan, and Nate. It covers quite an extensive period in their lives from Tate coming on the scene to Sam's arrival. I didn't like seeing Mason with other girls and I almost felt aggrieved on Sam's part which is ridic because 1) they are fictional characters and 2) Sam hadn't come into his life yet. I got all grrrr whenever Kate was in it, and I would have loved to reach into my Kindle and strangle the manipulative beatch. We see the real extent of Mason's protective nature in this novella, and a more vulnerable side of Logan. Loved that. I also enjoyed that we got to see Nate a little more as I've felt like his character has been underdeveloped in this series (it would be great if we got Nate's book in the future.)I adored seeing the first interaction between Mason and Sam in the forecourt of Quickie's but I was disappointed that it cut off then. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a proper companion novel to the first book, to see everything from Mason's perspective. There were parts where I felt Mason's inner monologue was too excessive for a male character and sections were there was too much telling and not enough showing, but overall it was a good read, and one I would recommend to readers of this series. You will come away more informed over certain scenes and characters.I'm kinda depressed now because I'm all up to date on the series and I need more. When is book 6 coming out?Actual rating 3.5 stars.

The perfect prequel
Mason is the prequel to the Fallen Crest series. This book focuses of amazon and Logan before Samantha and her mother moved in. If you love the Fallen Crest books this is the perfect insight into the boys. If youβre new to the series - welcome to Fallen Crest π€ where the Kade brothers rule π

Depressed
Reading about Mason makes me depressed that I don;t have him in the flesh! Screw Disney, I blame Tijan for my unrealistic expectations of men! This book although about Mason also made my heart break a little for Logan, you really see the basis of why he adores Mason so much and would literally do anything for him. I also love love loved reading about Mason & James' face off, it was sublime. Honestly the best take down of a parent in the history of take downs, as for the hussy's in the room getting their comeuppance it was just brilliant. I want more, give me more, PLEASE!

BLOODY BRILLIANT should be 10 Stars
love this series. This book gave real insight into why Mason and Logan behaved the way they do. It also highlighted why when the marriage is bad, walk away, the damage inflicted on the children is insurmountable. It may be a work of fiction but it gave a very clear description as to how screwed up parents damage their children. Very Very Good Highly recommend this and the whole series you will not be disappointed
