Amazing

Faulty design of battery compartment.
I was delighted with the appearance of these real wax pillar candles on my mantelpiece. I bought two in October for use at Christmas. Unfortunately when I installed the batteries at the beginning of December the inner unit of one candle dropped straight out. I had to use sellotape across the bottom to hold the battery compartment in place. The other candle stopped working altogether after only a few hours of use even though they should have lasted 1000 hours. My return date for Amazon had already expired so I complained direct to the manufacturer, Luminara who I think is in America. I gave plenty of detail regarding the fault and they responded promptly but only to send me a complaint form which seemed quite longwinded so I did not proceed. Very disappointed at the outcome as I did like the look fo the candles. the cheap ones I bought from my garden centre are still working on smaller batteries and at a fraction of the price.

Amber coloured wax , orange flame and strong synthetic Vanilla fragrance
This 'unscented' candle actually has a strong sweet vanilla fragrance that is not very pleasant - its a cheap chemical type scent . The wax is amber / honey coloured NOT ivory at all - and the flame is orange - nothing like the luminara candle i have bought in the past . This seems like a totally different product .
