We had very thick soot stains after year of fireplace use on the glass. When I say thick I mean even razor blades were useless with other cleaners I got this - tried it and within seconds the soot was actually lifting from the glass. Now because it was so thick from years of use it did take many paper towels, BUT the glass when done looks brand new. It is beyond effective The speed of it when applied is magical There is really no smell to suggest, but I did wear latex gloves

I usually don't take the time to write a review, but this deserved getting credit. We had buildup on our fireplace glass that seemed impervious to any cleaners. This worked perfectly and with little effort. It really is a great product.

I love that this product is so easy to apply to a cold wood stove glass. It wipes off creosote very easily with a paper towel- no scraping needed. The one small issue that I found it mist be wiped off the glass immediately after application and it may take 2-4 wipes to really remove it from the glass. If it isn't thoroughly removed, a silty screen covers the glass, sometimes turning black with creosote, then it does burn off. So perhaps it is my wood, but it doesn't remain clear after application as some other removers I have used - unless it is totally wiped off the glass. For my Jotul, it takes minimum of 3 wipe-downs. But all-in-all, this is very good value for the money.

This stuff is awesome, cleans the wood insert window in minutes.

This is an excellent product. It really cuts through heavy coatings of soot on fireplace glass. It makes cleaning my fireplace glass much easier than other products that I’ve tried.

Jeez, wish I had gotten this sooner. For the last 5 years I've been cleaning the glass window on my pellet stove through a ridiculous time consuming and messy process. This is practically mess free and cleans the soot with almosy single wipe. It also does make it very easy to give future cleanings with. With how little of the product you need to sue for each cleansing I suspect a bottle will last 3 or 4 winters. Better late than never using it.

I am a one-year log stove owner, and have tried everything for cleaning the glass front of my stove (yes, even the 'spit and newspaper dipped in ashes'). This is the ONLY cleaner, and it not only cleans the glass but leaves a protective film. Expensive to obtain, but well worth it.
