Pacific Coast ® Double Down Around ® King Pillow

--UPDATE-- It's been over a year and these pillows STILL sleep like a dream. Over time, I removed the standard size sham that puffed them up... I found that night after night, the firmness was irritating my neck. With regular washing (I wash them once every couple of months), and some fluffing now and then, these pillows remain full and supportive without being too hard. I have had several duvet sets and most every pillowcase fits over them easily. Overall? Still sleeping on a cloud, still highly recommend!---I bought these in king-size for my new king size bed. I wanted to feel like I was sleeping on a cloud so in addition to my featherbed and down comforter, these seemed like a great addition. I followed the directions for the first use, and I also purchased standard size pillow case liners for these pillows so that the down stays fluffy. I believe the brand that I purchased is Malouf Sleep Tite, FYI. With the liners, I don't have any issue with the down getting flat and the pillows are actually extremely firm and supportive – – great for sitting up in bed or using just one for neck support to sleep. I highly recommend them and they are totally worth the price.

Really didn't want to spend the money for a 'pillow' BUT now, so glad I did. Really love the pillow! I am a side sleeper and have not been getting much good rest for many reasons. Thought I'd try a better pillow as mine was falling apart and not washing well anymore anyway. (Wash it every few weeks.) New pillow came - great rest first night use and since. My wife has used it now too and also really likes it. I expect to order a few more as soon as budget permits. Came boxed nicely and also in a sealed bag direct from manufacturer as ordered from Amazon but shipped directly. No worries about bugs in the mail or a returned pillow or the like. Safe bet here at a better nights rest! p.s. BEST price I have found for this pillow and I have shopped around is right here from Amazon! It's a no brainer!

I was recently on a Princess cruise and absolutely loved their pillows. After some research, I thought this to be the pillow that I had slept on, so soundly aboard the cruise ship. The quality is fine, but the pillow provides no support at all. My cheap foam pillows are more supportive! I even followed the instructions on "fluffing" the pillow, with no success!I requested to return this item. I received a response from the retailer (Purchase Corner) and I have to pay return shipping AND.....they will charge me a %15 re-stocking fee. Not sure if I'll return or just stick it in the guest bedroom!NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

I had been having a fair amount of neck pain recently due to a pillow that was really good for a while but was overdue to be replaced. I did some research online and good housekeeping stated these pillows were the best for side sleepers. I checked the reviews here on Amazon and saw a lot of favorable comments about the firmness and support of this pillow. I also saw many other comments about how cool the pillow stays. I was looking for all of these qualities so I was eager to try this pillow. I have to say that this was the most money I'd ever spent on a pillow.Last night I take the pillows out of the box (the packaging was what I'd expect from a high end pillow) and was excited to give them a try (I bought my wife one as well as we're both side sleepers). I got the pillowcases on and we both laid down and, almost INSTANTLY, the pillow went flat. No support, no firmness, my head might as well have been laying on the bed alone. My wife complained of the same thing and asked for her old pillow back.Now I can say that the pillow does do a great job of keeping cool...but that's really the only thing it has going for it. I had to put another pillow beneath this one just to be able to sleep. And alas...I still woke up with some neck pain (albeit less than before). My wife doesn't want to sleep another night on this pillow. I suppose I'll attempt to get a refund but, after reading some of the bad reviews, I'm not optimistic that I'll get a full refund...I think this is the last pillow I'll buy online. From now on I'll be sure to buy in store so I can feel the pillow before I buy...

I love all Pacific Coast pillows and the Double Down Around are awesome. Many people have stated these are not the same as the hotels. The hotel uses the medium and these are soft. So that statement is true and not true because the hotels do use Pacific Coast pillows but are medium. I love using the soft with the medium but I sleep with the minimum of 3 pillows and the quality of these pillows are unmatched. They have a 5 yr warranty and are so easy to fluff in the dryer. I know they sell this pillow on the hotel websites but do not buy them there they are marked up to where you could buy 4 pillows for the price they are asking 2 and that doesn't include the shipping and handling prices. I am all in all satisfied with this purchase but had to order the medium from the Pacific coast website. I do wish they would have stated what the firmness of these pillows were. So that is why I took away a star.

One size does NOT fit all. Over the years, I have paid so much money for expensive pillows. Four king-size top-of-the-line pillows cost me about $1000. Yet, over the past three years, the pillows just didn't do it for me. I had neck and shoulder pain and discomfort. I have read the other reviews and can honestly relate to all of them. The texture, consistency and all-around "fit" to your head and shoulders is a very personal thing. Well, for me, this is a Goldilocks pillow——it's just right. If you sleep on your side and have neck and shoulder discomfort with other pillows, try this one. It did the trick for me. I just LOVE it. It is the BEST pillow I have ever slept upon. Not too firm, not too soft, cool in the summer. It gives me everything I want in a nice, comforting pillow. I just ordered another one.
