orange color The Christmas cactus is native to the South American jungles. The flowers bloom once a year and come in shades of fuchsia, yellow, salmon, pink, white, orange, red and sometimes will even have a combination of the colors. The Christmas cacti are tropical plants. They require sunlight and the blooms last longer with cooler temperatures. Keep them away from heaters, fireplaces, radiators, furnace ducts, and other heat sources. Place in a sunny location while indoors and if outdoors during the summer, find a place that has a sun/shade mix to prevent the plant from getting burned.

Wrong color, beautiful plant.
The plant is a beautiful plant. It’s very well filled out not straggly but it is not the color they said it would be, it is not orange it is pink.

Nice Healthy Plant
It's always a bit of a gamble the first time you order a plant through the mail from a supplier but these guys have it down to a science. The packaging was perfect for ensuring a stable and healthy plant arrived on my doorstep. The soil was damp but not saturated and the plant was secured in place with a combination of cling wrap and a plastic bag to prevent soil from getting loose and running wild in the box. Out of the nursery pot, it was well-rooted but not root-bound and there were only a couple of dropped leaves. All of the stems were healthy and green and it adjusted quickly to its new surroundings without any problems. Now I'm looking forward to the blooms in a couple of months when the season hits.

Packaged well
This plant was packaged very well however many of the buds had fallen off, the flower does not look orange more of a pink than orange, it says Christmas Cactus but according to the information I have this is a Thanksgiving cactus. I am disappointed in the size of the plant for what it cost. The few buds remaining I hope will open and not fall off too.

“Rare orange Christmas cactus is red
I bought this plant over a year ago, but this is the first time it’s bloomed. I was so excited to see the buds, anxious to see such an unusual color. But the flowers have opened now and not a bit orange, more a definite pink. Very disappointed that I did not get what I ordered, but of course I’m way past the return period now.

Plant was soaking wet
This was a well established plant and was a good size. However, it was absolutely soaking when I got it in the mail and is now showing signs of root rot. I understand that the seller wants to ensure the plant is okay while being mailed, but it's a cactus! The worst thing you can do is let it sit in a dark and wet environment for who knows how long. I'm still giving 4 stars simply because the plant was clearly in good condition before it was mailed which is more than some other sellers have done.
