CamelBak Horizon 12 oz Camp Mug - Insulated Stainless Steel - Tri-Mode Lid

Once upon a time I went in search of a stainless steel mug because I loved the idea of being able to enjoy my hot cup of tea or coffee for longer than a porcelain mug permits. There were two requirements that needed to be met, the mug needed to be dishwasher safe, not just the lid, and the mug needed to hold 15 ounces of liquid.Well, as it turns out those are pretty difficult requirements to meet in the stainless steel mug world. I was leaning toward the Rtic mug, but the reviews were lackluster when it came to the integrity of the seal in the lid. I didn't want to buy the Yeti mug even though it filled all the boxes very neatly and even came in a wide variety of colors. (I have a hard time supporting that company in light of the fact that the price of many of their products seems excessive.... to put it nicely.)After looking at many off-brand and name brand mugs, I saw an advertisement for the Camelbak Horizon collection. To my extreme pleasure the mug and its tri-mode lid are both dishwasher safe. The drawback is that it only holds 12 ounces of liquid, and really it's less than that if you want to secure the lid on as well. I bit the bullet and purchased the mug in the Larkspur color.I thoroughly enjoy this mug. I am happy to report that it keeps my tea/coffee hot much longer than any porcelain mug I've used. In fact I haven't even used the lid yet because the insulated mug itself does such a great job. The added BONUS is that the bottom has a secure silicone pad so that the mug doesn't slide on smooth surfaces, and I don't accidentally slam it down either. Yay for innovation!The inside of the mug needs to be scrubbed and wiped out thoroughly prior to the first use as I noticed some gray residue on my white dishtowel from the inner area of the mug. The other matter I noticed that I wasn't particularly thrilled with was the fact that liquid gets trapped under the movable section of the tri-mode lid. It will likely need thorough cleaning to prevent bacteria from building up in there from various liquids in the future, and I wish I could take the lid apart for that reason, but that's pretty nitpicky in the grand scheme of things.I'm sold on this mug and have purchased several for family members because of my positive experience with the product.

I've been using CamelBak products for a few years now and they work great! they keep my coffee hot for hours and are easy to clean.

Bought one on a whim thinking a covered insulted mug might be nice. I own two now. Love the light texture on the exterior and handle! A small detail I’ve come to really appreciate (I’ve lost some plump, fleshy adhesion from my fingertips as I’ve aged.). This really sets the product apart from competitors in my book! Maintains heat for hours with slide closed. Five stars, emphatically.

The mug is great the rubber bottom works GREAT! The lid fits good but the slider on the lid is VERY stiff and cheap. That is my only knock. Would buy again.

High quality material. It keeps coffee/tea/water hot and warm for whole day. We love it and bought 3. Highly recommend to buy.

I'd buy this product again. In fact I plan to buy a few as gifts for some coffee drinkers I know.This mug keeps my coffee nice and hot during the time it takes me to drink it (keeping the lid on keeps the heat in longer).Anyway, if you're looking for such a mug, it'll do the job.

I love this mug. I use it all day every day for coffee, hot chocolate, and cold drinks too. I like to sip on my drinks, so this is perfect for keeping the hot drinks hot-warm for a couple of hours plus. The cold drinks stay so for an hour to 1 1/2 hours. It’s easy to clean. I haven’t used it camping or traveling or in any extreme weather, but I plan on doing so because it seems sturdy enough to handle the outside world.

I purchased this mug majorly for camping and it does the job. Plus it’s very easy to clean and it can keep my cold wine for roughly 20 mins without the lid and even longer with lid on.

Segunda caneca que compro, muito mal embalado pela Amazon. A primeira de outra marca chegou amassada. Essa se mostrou resistente e aguentou a embalagem, passou no teste de resistência. Veio solta dentro de uma caixa, tinha um plástico e um pedaço de papel mas soltos TB, nem foi embrulhado.

Camelbak definitely keeps your drinks hot or cold and insulated well for several hours. But BEWARE that liquid does leak between the lid and mug. If you're looking to toss this mug around and have it sit in your bag without spilling, you will be disappointed and you probably shouldn't buy this kind of mug.I will be using it for camping and work and it will be sitting upright, so it doesn't bother me that it leaks. I have other travel containers that can roll around in my bag and car and won't spill.

Spills but great to keep beverage warm for quite some time!

the quality is very good and the color is absolutely beautiful for this Tiffany blue coating finishes.It can keep warm and cold for what it has been described.
