Brit indie horror with a light touch
Classic Brit indie with that homespun mystic horror feel. Excellent performances by the cast. Cameos by some very decent character actors. Linal Haft with a standout creepy, menacing gamekeeper. The driving force behind the film is the main characters a charming father daughter duo, slightly fractious but loving and witty dealing with the loss of the mother. Beautifully performed by Scarlett Rayner and Simeon Willis . Pans Labyrinth does come to mind but this has it's own warmth..And scares ...

Great idea poorly executed.
This could have been a great low budget film but unfortunately the concept was ruined by poor production/direction and some very poor acting. If it hadn't been for the occasional swearing and horror then it really felt like a children's drama that you might see on a Sunday afternoon. On the whole, disappointing.

Fun
Very good acting from the young lead.Maximum stars for being the only film I know of to use the word "decimate" properly.

Nice little gothic fable.
This is a low budget indy with great performances and loads of heart. It's not a horror but a fantasy like Pan's labyrinth but without Pan or the Labyrinth!!

Quirky British film
Loved this film. Quirky, beautifully filmed and just a little scary. Great relationship between father and daughter. It made me laugh, jump and cry!
