Gorgeous runes. Addition to my altar and learning to use

Amethyst is a crystal I am drawn to because of its purple color and healing properties. I chose this set not only because it was made of amethyst, but because the image showed they were flat rectangles, which they are. This makes them perfect for rune casting. The rune symbols are etched in gold and look very striking within the stone. They have all 24 symbols plus one blank one. The pouch they came in was a flimsy type of netting type fabric, but I had a softer pouch to put them in.

If you just want to have some temporary festive lighting, this would be very good for a wedding or some other short occasion. Because they are very bright and beautiful for just a week or so.

Beautifully crafted stones, very suitable for learning the runes, and useable for single rune divination. The irregular shapes make them useless for multi stone castings as the stones won’t always land on one side or the other. But very beautiful and educational.

They are very small (my bad for not reading the size of 20-22mm) and the engraving on tiles isn't great nor in the same orientation on all. They are fairly thin as well. I'd be concerned about them cracking/chipping. They were wrapped well for delivery. I'll end up buying something better later...

These stones were listed as 15-20 mm each. For comparison, an American dime is about 17 mm across in size, and these stones were closer to a nickel in size. Very pretty stones. They've been tumbled and polished enough to wear off the sharp edges but you can still feel the natural pits and imperfections of the stone itself. There are some smudges where the person painting the gold into the etched runes got a bit messy but it's nothing that you wouldn't expect from handmade objects. I still find it amusing they sell these as Reiki healing stones (A Japanese technique) but the runes themselves are the Elder Futhark (Norse and Germanic).

I got the "domino" style (uniform rectangles), not the round-ish rocks, in the Black Tourmaline rock. It is very nice. They came very well packaged, with a nice gold bag for storage. Also included was a little pamphlet showing the properties of the rock and the rune symbols. All the symbols were there plus a blank and seem to be correct. The lettering is neat and seems better done than most of the sets I looked at. The black stones with gold lettering make a pretty set and they came with a shiny shear gold-colored bag. It would make a nice gift.
