Easy Read With Valid/Strong Arguments
I found Spencer on Youtube through his Third Adam Series. I’ve battled with faith for most of my life. I still don’t know if I’m saved to be honest, I’m 30 years old. I started reading this book to get a better understanding for the criticisms of Christian Rock music/Contemporary Christian Music. When I first came to Christ, I started listening to some of this kind of music. Lauren Daigle, Elevation, one of my favorites was Josh Garrels. I liked the musicianship of the music and thought the lyrics seemed vaguely “Christian”, which was good enough for me at the time. Then I found myself going back to listening to my secular music. I found myself listening even to contemporary Christian music more and more, and when the thought of listening to the contemporary Christian music came to me, I’d choose the secular music over it.However, I took this year off to travel and really convict myself to battle my sin, to master it. I didn’t start out successful, but I’m trying to hone in and eliminate distractions to come to a more honest and complete understanding of the Gospels. When I found Spencer, I was at the beginning of my Christian walk. I had just picked up the Bible for myself and started reading it. I knew of the anti-Christ and I was terrified of his coming. I felt the “shift” that so many New Agers and contemporary Christian’s talk about, but it didn’t feel like a good “shift.”Now again, while on this year long hiatus from my old life in Seattle, while I seek the Lord, while I pray to be born again in these times so that I might be saved and serve the Lord… I stumbled upon Spencer again on Youtube. I started watching his videos again, I rewatched his Third Adam Series, I started to wake up to the truth in the message that Jesus has commissioned him to preach. That’s when I decided to check out this book.I read some of the reviews commenting on his grammatical mistakes and typos and yes they exist. However, the content and sincere earnestness of Spencer’s message to reveal the hypocrisies within contemporary Christian music and how it perverts the message of the Gospels shines through clearly. By the end, I found myself once again convicted, once again going to Christ through prayer.I’m praying that one day I might rest confidently, knowing that Christ has saved me and brought me back into the herd, a sheep once lost to the world now redeemed by the blood of the Lord. Till then, I’d just like to thank Spencer for his convictions and testimony, his research and his love for Christ. This book, as well as his YouTube videos, have helped me once again convict myself and turn to our Lord with a repentant heart.May God Bless You and Yours Spencer Smith.-Jason

don’t wait to read
Outstanding bottom line as to why to stay clear of this junk music. I was totally influenced by worldly and junk “christian” music as a young man and as my music went so did my lifestyle. Bro Spencer is spot on here.

JESUS ROCKS? NAY!
I used to be very proud to be a "Christian Rocker" and listened to every style of it; rock, hardcore, punk, thrash, blues, you name it.Music was always the way to express myself. I attended well over 100 big name concerts. In the 70s I was into bands like Kiss, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Meat Loaf, Blondie, etc.In 1980 I bought a Bible, read it and broke free from the false catholicult of Rome. I also discoverd "Christian Rock" by way of a DeGarmo & Key album.I became obsessed with "Christian Rock" but it also pulled me back into "secular rock" and compromise. In the 80s I published a "Christian Metal/Rock" magazine called "Conquest." Ironically, being not so familiar with Scripture, the verse that I chose for the "theme" of the magazine was actually a verse describing the antichrist in Revelation! I also wrote for various Christian rock fanzines.I thought I could convert secular rockers into Christian rockers and that would save their soul from hell. In actuality, all I did was introduce fans of both genres to each other.Converting someone into a Christian rocker does NOT convert them to Christ. They're still hellbound.I never met one Christian Rocker who wasn't into compromise whether they were an artist, band or fan. They all still have favorite secular bands, act like secular artists, have rockstar attitudes and egos and dress just as effeminate (which God hates) with the long hair, spandex, make-up and prissiness.Christian rock fans worship their favorites just like secular rock fans. It is ALL the work of deceiving spirits. Whether you worship Stryper or Slipknot you're NOT worshipping Jesus Christ.Christian rockers throw up the devil horns, thrash around like demons in an orgy, contort their faces to look like devils in heat while they scream JESUS ROCKS!THERE is NO, NILL, ZERO, NADA godliness about it. Want to see who Christian rockers really worship? Suggest that they give up their music. Most contemporary "Christian" music , whether it be rock or "worship" is just an excuse to play or listen to music that feeds your flesh and "gets you off."It's not about God, It's about you. I could write my own book about this if I had the patience. Maybe someday? However, this book covers it well and It's written by a dedicated Brother in Christ who is a generation closer to today's youth than I am. It is a very good read. I managed the music department of a "Christian bookstore" for over 4 years and can vouch for the legitimacy of the contents of this book.Rock concerts are not church and church is not a rock concert. Until the focus is on the glory of Jesus Christ PERIOD, It's a waste of time, money and the soul.Christian parents, do you approve of your kids listening to Christian Rock? Do YOU listen to Christian rock?Get and read this book before you Christian rock yourself to hell.Spencer has also "been there" and shares his personal testimony at the end of the book.I own it in print and digital. You should at least own it as one or the other. Also check out Spencer's YouTube channel.God bless you. May He open your eyes to see and your ears to hear.I definitely recommend it to "Christian Rockers" and/or their parents.

Excellent Christian Book With a Slight Issue
Spencer Smith provides brilliant insight into the wickedness of the “Christian” music industry that every professing believer should read about. My one problem with the book is that it was riddled with grammatical errors, and considering it was published 5 five years ago, they should have been addressed by now.

Biblical and True!!
Spencer really shines a light on the wickedness in “Christian Rock & Roll” and it’s such a great read! It’s written so clearly, easy to follow and understand (for young readers like myself). The Font is clear and the book is a great handheld size. Spencer uses so much scripture to back up the points too!! Absolute favorite book. It’s so discerning, bold & I always find myself recommending this to my Christian friends to read and learn from! Thank you for your wisdom and knowledge Spencer and I look forward to books you write in the hopefully near future as I will most definitely be buying them!! God bless brother

Eye opening
Spencer gives a good overview, of the pagan origin of Rock n Roll music, wich I haven't been aware of, also his countless examples about the live of so called Rockstars and also their lyrics. That helps a lot to discern if the Music is indeed Biblical or is it just some weird love song, sometimes not even containing the name Jesus in it.

Well written, simple and easy to understand on the truth of Christian Rock and Roll.
I read the book in one day as I couldn't put it down. Brother Spencer writes well and gets straight to the point without wasting words. As someone who has recently been saved by our Lord Jesus Christ, and has a lot of experience with Rock and Roll music in the secular world, I can definitely recommend this book to any Christian who wants a clear and concise study on Rock music's infiltration of the Church and the insidious intent behind it. May God bless you all.
