Great follow-up to the first novel, Golf in the Kingdom, which opened the door to a mystical sense of golf. I've incorporated it into my game. For example, now when I putt, I TRUST the body. I don't think or plan.

After reading and loving golf in the kingdom I had to read this book. One of my favorite books ever.

If you are into the spiritual side of life and golf, then get this book. Not sure if it will help your score, but you will definitely enjoy the game more.

Delightful, it makes one believe in magic. This book is about the power of the earth's energy as experienced through golf. Murphy's language can be tricky, the tale is most involving. Did it really happen?

What a great followup to Michael Murphy's Golf in the Kingdom. Thought provoking spiritual book. Anyone who likes to read about the unseen factor of the universe, read this book!

you need a book to take you away from where you are and take you on a journey, which this does.

I was barely able to finish this book. About a third of the way I really started questioning whether I should continue, but having read the first book (Golf in the Kingdom) and being the obsessive-compulsive I am, I decided to finish (...also hoping it may improve). Sorry to say, I shouldn't have even started!Murphy asks you to suspend belief and logic, in order to find some kind of personal mysticism through golf, but it's not worth the effort. You end up thinking "What is he trying to say, and why should I even listen?" In other words, the book appears very personal (to the author) and you wonder why you should care and what it has to do with you.I gave it one star because the book LOOKS and FEELS very nice (easy to hold and attractive typeface).
