Horse manure! This is synthetic hair, not human hair.
Horse manure. This isn't human hair, it's synthetic. I am a fire performer. Human hair doesn't melt when you hit it with fire. It turns to a powdery dust.Synthetic hair melts and worse--it melts onto your skin and sticks while blistering the skin underneath. So not being lied to by a seller is extremely important in this case. Luckily, I didn't receive a direct hit while wearing this piece. It only partially melted and didn't stick to my skin when I pulled it off.I learned an important lesson that night. Never trust Pretty Shop and always test a section of "100% Human Hair" pieces with a lighter.

Great hair scrunchies for the money
I ordered 2 scrunchies from the Pretty Shop -- One was human hair in light brown/blonde mix (4H27/H312) and the other was synthetic in light/medium brown (10A). One link from Prettyshop calls the 10A light brown and another calls it 10A medium brown, so I don't know what's up with that. My natural hair has fewer highlights than the brown/blonde mix but more than the light/medium brown, but I think I can get away with both of them. I personally like the texture of the human hair a little better as the synthetic was a little smoother/shinier, and my natural hair has a little more curl/wave so I would prefer if each had a little more. Other than that, I think both are decent quality, and I think I'll keep both. I may take the human hair to my colorist next visit and see if she thinks adding a little brown to some of those highlights will bring it down to match perfect. I've read that the human hair scrunchie can be dyed (not lightened) but not the synthetic. The light/medium brown will match my hair perfectly in the winter months when my hair is naturally a little darker (less sun streaked).

Great item, but be sure yours has tags!
I bought this hair bun many months ago and have loved it! So easy to use and matches my hair perfectly. I wore it to death and decided to reorder 2 fresh new ones (for extra fullness!) for an upcoming vacation. 1 came as usual, nwt, looking lovely, while the other 1 was clearly worn and returned. 😲 No tags and looking obviously mussed. I will be reordering again after returning, but this was a really unfortunate turn-off to a normally very nice quality product.

Successfully Dyed Lighter Shade
Using Just for Men's Original Formula, in medium brown, I dyed the center and pulled out lines of darker color on the bottom and to a lesser extent on top. I left it in for 10 minutes, rinsed, shampooed, conditioned, towel dried and curled with bobby pins. It came out a darker brown with plenty of the original colors for high lights. Perhaps dying is easier and more effective than lightening. I prefer the human hair to the synthetic as the synthetic is excessively shiny, especially in sunlight, and doesn't look natural. This one does look natural in sunlight. I put it on as if it were a rubber band, pulling my hair through it twice. I wrap my ponytail around the bottom and secure it with a large bobby pin. Then I secure it with another bobby pin on the bottom on the opposite side. I use stainless hairpins available on Amazon to secure the scruchie to my hair in three other places top sides and center. I like these hairpins because they don't rust and don't pull my hair. They hold very well. Energy medicine folks will appreciated they're made of stainless and not iron. I love this scrunchie and wear my hair up most of the time.

I really liked the fact that it was human hair
I purchased this for an updue to my hair for a wedding to create more volume and it matched my color perfectly. I really liked the fact that it was human hair, however, using it after the wedding and washing it carefully and letting it air dry, it is becoming more like a synthetic. It looks a bit ratty and dry like my older synthetic hair extensions. I thought it would at least hold the curl that was in it before I washed it and would look good for a while, but it does not appear to be the case. I would not purchase again.

Works for me!
Nice piece. I have highlighted hair, so was worried it would be difficult to match. Was also satisfied with the thickness... If it were more dense it probably would not be functional. Anyway, my hair was always too fine for a bun, and those donuts were too hard to work with. This ended up being perfect for me.

Glad I got it!
I was really hesitant to get one of these, afraid the color wouldn’t match or that it wouldn’t look real but I’m glad I did. I really like this piece, the color matches perfectly to my brown with blond highlighted hair. It’s definitely real hair and curled nicely. I’m still playing with it trying to get it to look just right but overall I’m very pleased with this.

This looks great and works great
OK honesty time - I've lost about 1/3 of my hair in about 3 months. So being the vain person I am, I went looking for a way to make my thinning hair appear thicker and fuller. This did the trick very well. It's a very full and curly little scrunchy that looks just as described in the photo. Because my hair has gotten SO thin I just pull it up in a bun then wrap this little scrunchy around the bun (-twice! argh!) then I pull a few of the strands of the bun and kind of poof them up and out to make the scrunchy and the bun look messy - it looks great. No one has noticed that it's not my hair -and one person actually asked me to show her how to do my "messy bun" (insert red face here, but ok I told her too!) It matched the colour of my hair, is soft and shiny, and because it *is* real hair it looks like your own hair. Definitely helped my situation, I'm SO glad I bought it.

Good quality
Very good quality real human hair piece. Colour was a bit lighter than expected, but would definitely buy one again if needed. Far more superior than the synthetic ones that you can buy. Worth the extra money.

Dreadful. Tatty and matted.
Very poor quality product. Unwearable. Perfect colour match but this is no consolation when hair piece is matted and only fit for the dustbin. Please see photographs.

Not good value for money very thin hair
This product was not as shown in pictures it's not as thick or easy to put on you have to double it up for it to stay in which isn't good as its elastic is quite tight but if you don't double it over it falls out ...I would have sent it back if I hadn't took tags off it and i could not be bothered with hassle of sending it back so just sitting in a corner unused.

Not human hair!!
As mentioned on a review from another customer, this is not human hair; it is clearly man-made synthetic fibre. The hair piece is also small and the hair is frizzy in bits. Very overpriced for a scrunchy! Disappointing on so many counts.
