perfect follow-up
I needed a finer file to follow my Microplane foot file. The Microplane is good for my heals, but too coarse for the rest. This rasp is perfect. It would not be adequate by itself, nor is the Microplane.

Whoa - This Thing is Awesome!
I am soooo pleased with this foot file. I have used the Dr. Scholl's foot file for years (they wear out and were 6-7 bucks a pop), but they are no longer available, so a-hunting I did go. And found the PediPerl Callus Remover Foot File.I love it.It's well built and has a bit of weight about it - feels like quality stuff. And it works superbly. It quickly files and buffs - no need for a coarse side and a fine side - this foot file quickly does away with rough skin and smooths it to perfection. Then simply rinse the file to clean. The handle length is just right, so I can avoid having to do Yoga poses to get at my heels! One thing I like right away about this file is that when you're buffing a callous, you can tell that what's falling off is skin and not parts of the file. I'm guessing this $14.99 file will last eons longer than the old Dr. Scholl's version, meaning in the long run, the PediPerl is definitely a more economical purchase. Though the Dr. S's version did an adequate job, I was instantly more satisfied with the PediPerl, as it worked quickly, did a great job, and was clean in a flash.I'm very satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend it!

DOTTED LINE
Easy to use, instructions direct and understandable. Only problem is it is file is a dotted surface not a solid surface so you have to be on the callus in line. It is difficult to stay on a line. Used it and it took some time, but it did a good job.

This file is fabulous! I use it on dry feet-results are much better. It's gentle so you don't feel like you're shredding your feet apart like with the cheese grater looking one. Something about the material on this kind of foot file "works into" the callus better--I have another one similar to this of another brand--it cost 3x this one with a flimsy handle and is smaller--this one works the same & has a nice sturdy handle for an affordable price.I also have 3 different kinds of the "rolling/electric ones" and I still like this one better than any of those! I walk around barefoot all the time (hey, I live in TX-it's hot) so my feet are always one big gigantic callus--'tore up', as you will-lol. It produces quite a bit of "dust" when you use on dry feet so be sure to put something under your foot (small trash can or whatever) to catch all that yucky dead callus skin! If your feet are "tore up" with callus---it's going to take a few times using this to get rid of the layers---it's not a wonder tool, it's not all going to all come off in a few swipes- you have to give it time to do it's job, but with a few uses, you should be callus free & smooth! :)

Works way better than all the other foot files and gadgets
Wow. I just received this and used it on my seriously dry feet. It seemed like everything else I've tried, including the Micro-Pedi, Amope, and Ped Egg Power just weren't working very well and I was constantly having to buy new rollers at $10 apiece. My feet were still dry after a treatment. I was looking for a foot file that wasn't a "grater" type like the Ped Egg, and saw this. It works wonderfully and doesn't hurt. It took all the dry skin off without a lot of work and now my feet feel great. Now I don't need anything else and I don't have to spend a boatload on rollers. I think I'll get another as well just to have another.

I was a bit concerned about the number of reviews that received the product at a discount to review it. I still bought it and it was a great decision. This is the first time I've needed a foot file device and this does a great job. It rasps away the dead skin without hurting healthy skin. I actually rubbed it on my forearm at first to see how rough it is: I'm sure if I kept rubbing I could scratch myself but through normal use it is very delicate on tender skin. It did exactly what I needed, and was washable afterwards.
