This is an enormous battery for the UV-5R which doubles the size of the handset, but still fits the standard desktop charger for charging. Battery life is excellent. One minor gripe is that there is a gap at the front between the bottom of the handset and the top of the battery, but does not affect function or durability.Good value add on for UV-5R for use when needing extended battery life or away from charging facilities.

Really happy with this. Not only do you get longer battery life, you also get more to hold onto. I have fairly large hands so this is perfect for myself and the team.

These extended batteries not only give you more battery life but make the radio look and feel far more professional and substantial, clearly not a genuine baofeng item I must add and the fit isn’t 100% but they do fit and they don’t look too bad really. I’m happy enough and do recommend them.

Beautiful fit for my UV-5RTP. Feels really nice in the hand adding a reassuring heft to the standard radio. Looks great as well. BaoFeng branding on the battery front and rear, I've no reason to suspect that it's not a genuine product. Just works, fit and forget.

when I received the product everything was fine until I noticed that when using the battery the radio was unable to stand up on its own due to the fact that the battery case had been put together wrong or damaged in shipping which has now caused the battery to lean forward making it very difficult to stand upwards

Along with upgrading the antenna, this should be the other upgrade to your Baofeng UV 5R. It not only offers longer battery life than the standard kit battery, it also expands the size/grip you will have when operating the radio. It make the radio feel more substantial whilst still maintaining the handheld feel without becoming too bulky.
