Great!
First of all I would give this a 4 1/4 stars if it was an option. It’s not too bad to put together if you happen to have a few tools available, like a socket set (13 mm ) and wrenches. Directions are easy to read but don’t just look at the pictures for directions because you’ll miss a couple of things. The grass bagger fits the cheap Troy-built riding mower lawn tractor. The mower was $499.50 brand new from Lowe’s with a 30” cutting deck and the motor is in the back. I bought two of them because they were a great deal! The bagger was easy to install except for the part which attaches at the usual grass ejection located on the right side of the deck. It works very well except in the wet grass, it tends to clog up with clumps, however the clogs are easily cleaned out and quickly. The bags are of decent quality however, they are very small and require dumping the clippings relatively often. But it beats the heck out raking up grass clippings or just letting it get shot back onto the lawn. All in all I’m pretty surprised and happy with the purchase of my mower and the bagger attachment, which i bought here on amazon.

Works perfect
Nothing negative to say. Arrived early. Everything lined up perfectly. Had some paint on the threads so a little difficult to tighten some things. But not 1 complaint. Works perfectly and doesn’t clog up at all. Very easy to empty. If you need a bag. This is the one.

I've smoked bags of weed that were bigger than what this thing can hold.
I've smoked bags of weed that were bigger than what this thing can hold. I bought this bagger for a 2017 TroyBuilt Neighborhood riding mower that I purchased to replace my aging Snapper 8HP rider. The two mowers are very similar however the Snapper is a substantially better built machine. My old Snapper had a small bagger on it, which I thought this would be of similar size given that the two mowers are also very similar in size. When I took this bagger out of the box, I was in disbelief how small the bags really are! There are two bags that are each approximately the size of shoe box that a pair of boots would come in.The bagger was easy to install using only a ½ inch socket and a 19M box wrench. It took approximately 30 minutes to install. As others have mentioned, the holes on the bagger chute do not exactly line up to the receiving bolts on the deck. Based on their position drilling them out a little more for fit was not an option as they were already drilled very close to the edge of the plastic. I had man handle the deck chute on to the deck. I thought about using a heat gun to warm up the plastic so as to make it easier to bend, but heck that would make too much sense and who needs that in a workshop. Man handling the chute on to the deck is a problem because on my Troy Built there is a safety switch, very similar to the seat safety switch, that will not run the mower unless the chute is firmly in place. I got it on in about 2 -3 minutes but it took some effort.I gave this four stars because it was easy to install and it does work very good. I would have gave it five stars if the bags were bigger. My old Snapper was the same size as my Troy Built but it’s bagger was on a set of poles which raised its height to allow for much taller bags. My guess is that this has small bags so as to not run the risk of over weighting the rear of the mower and possibly tipping the mower on a hill. All of these small rear rider mowers are known to be unstable when climbing any substantial grade.I have a cart for my mower so my plan next year is to see if I can build a wooden box on my trailer and extend the chute to the box with a flexible extension. If so that would make the machine substantially more useful. For now it’s change the bags every 5 – 10 minutes.

Works best with a high lift blade.
I bought this for my Cub Cadet CC30H back in 2019. It works with the 3 in 1 blade that comes with the mower but conditions affect its performance. If the grass is dry and not terribly high it works OK, but wet conditions or very tall grass clogs it up and it just mulches the grass. I just bought a high lift blade from Cub Cadet, 942-05116 is the model number. You need this blade if you are planning to bag. It really works well. It won't mulch like the 3 in 1 but if you are planning to mainly use this bagger like I do get the high lift blade.

I have Cub Cadet CC30H -2018 model - No Problems
I read some reviews that said it would not fit my model or that you had to drill holes, etc. to get this on. Well, for me....I found the instructions to be excellent and the installation was without any issues. Perfect fit.I did need to remove two cotter pins and the bar between the front wheels to make room to get the front weight on. Plus I used three bricks to support the weight while I inserted the bolts. Once front weight was on there was plenty of room to put the bar back on. One review indicated that the bag cover would not stay on. The current version has a metal latch that keeps the cover down. You have to pull a little hard to get the cover open to get to the bags. The bags are not real big (but neither is the mower). This means you have to empty a couple of times but this is also no issue. This also means the bags are easily handled to be emptied. Very pleased with this product (at least when new).

Perfect for Cub Cadet 30h
This bagger is absolutely THE perfect fit for our Cub Cadet 30h! We almost did not make this purchase, as some reviews mentioned that it did not accurately fit this model mower. The manufacturer must have made adjustments, as this fits like a glove, no modifications to the item needed! The only mod we did was we completed step 8 first, attaching the chute to the mower, simply to ensure the mower could fit through a gate when outfitted with the bagger. We later found this provided ease of installation when we got to step 8. The most challenging part was simply installing the counter weight, and that is only due to the weight itself and the tight quarters for installing the hardware. This was a 30 to 60 minute install! Highly recommend! Saying goodbye to thatch!

The bag it self is easy to install
The bag it self is easy to install, good instructions and functions. The 3 stars is because it only works on short (frequently cut) grass and it must be dry. Lawn mower does not have enough power to push wet grass into bag.
