A Great Guitar
There are a lot of good aspects of this guitar. It has a nice, rich sound and I find it comfortable to play. As you would expect from a guitar of this calibre, it stays in tune and the 12th fret harmonics are precise. And precision is definitely the name of the game with this guitar.I have owned this guitar for a month now and almost always play with the effects turned on. I’ve never really warmed to echo on any guitar but the reverb/chorus combination sounds great. The electronics seem to be very good. When I plug the guitar into an amp, it sounds very good as it does when played without the effects so you wouldn’t need to worry much if the battery went flat because it has good volume when played acoustically. There are three silver dial controls on the guitar which are generally good although one is a bit stiff at about 50%. The volume control is also the on/off switch. I charged the guitar on the day I received it. It was partially charged but took a few more hours to get to full charge. Although I play this guitar every day I haven’t had to recharge it yet.The guitar is very light. It has a nice look to it. My one dislike of its shape is that it slides off your lap very easily as you play. After a couple of emails to Lava Music they sent me a small grip to stick to the bottom of the guitar to stop it sliding. I don’t know why they don’t include one of these as standard in the case when you buy it.Some may find the thin neck makes it a bit tricky to play although I have no complaints about it.The Lava Me website is a bit limited and has only a few accessories for sale. The case it comes with is nice but has no room in it for anything but the guitar. A bit more space for accessories would be helpful. All in all this is well worth the money. It is very stylish with a nice build quality and a great sound.I am glad I bought a Lava Me 2 guitar.
A**.
A solid guitar , balanced sound in a small package.
I really enjoyed the guitar in the couple of hours i just played with it already. The sound is balanced , the strings and action or what it's called felt very easy to play , no strings buzzing .. It was simply a well configured guitar out of the box ... Only tuning was required and you're good to go... Tuning was accurate for the whole fretboard for what i saw .I'm not a professional or anything , but my other expensive guitar is like 2000miles away , so i decided to try this one ... I'm pleasantly surprised. The effects are nice to have , however while unplugged , compared to youtube reviews the volume on effects is rather low , maybe TOO LOW...(EDIT: That was just me playing with my fingers, not even fingernails... Effects are pretty full of volume when picking) I can barely hear the reverb on its own , same with delay on its own.. Chorus + reverb does provide a substantial difference while unplugged so that's something ...The volume knob also seems to not be perfectly parallel to the instrument so that when you rotate it it kind of wobbles a bit, although still firm , i don't think it's gonna fall off or anything ...OVERALL , the guitar build and sound seems excellent , i cannot test the effects plugged in , but unplugged it was just an ok experience . Lastly, the package provides a carry case that is decent, but no pockets on it. If you're gonna stick a pick holder on the guitar you ll have to put it inside the soundhole because there is no space behind the head of the guitar at the tuners. It is very portable, just what i needed ...It did have some amount of dust , or what looked/felt like dust on the guitar body when i first handled it , but the packaging seemed robust and closed, maybe from the factory? It didn't look like a repackaged product but i ll never know .I would rate it 4.5 Stars , it shines on the important bits.

pretty versatile guitar ,nice feel to the short scale neck.Love it.
Talk about value for money .I would even question my giving the sound quality 4 stars(mainly due to the fact it is carbon fibre and I feel the sound would not age or change as wood does)Having said that the sound is very rich not boxy.A kind of cross between a round hole Martin style guitar and the old cello archtop so favoured for big band and acoustic chord/rhythm guitar work.Good for short fingered stubby handed players, me included.Yes I know it looks a bit different, but isn't that the point ,plus you can amplify it and the onboard reverb, delay and chorus come as a boost to the sound ,used carefully and with forethought you are on to a winner. This thing works with you not against you , straightforward instrument .Comes fitted with 12 to 53 ,I find a little heavy for me but I am only just getting back to playing in public more, easy to change down to 11 to 52 or similar.Great guitar nearly tempted to buy a second one.Away in Canada soon will be using someone else's boxes over there ,will miss this guitar although looking forward to the trip.
