Vintage Glass Ant Moat for Hummingbird and Oriole Feeders Large Capacity Guard for Nectar Feeders

These are really cute vintage-style glass ant moats for your bird feeders. They work well for my hummingbird feeders. The only thing that bothered me is that the hooks that you twist into the jars didn’t set the same for both. One landed perfectly with both curves equally facing the other direction (making an “S”). The other one landed where the top makes the top of the “S” where the bottom one just pokes out at a weird angle askew. No matter how many times you try and rethread it, it tightens at that same spot. I tried not screwing it in all the way to force it into an “S”, but then it didn’t seem safe and sturdy . Still a cute feeder. Holds much more water than my flower shaped ones. Would buy this style again.

Works exactly as advertised! Just a tip- the water should be at least 1/2" lower than the top of the glass or the ants just cross over it. After a heavy rain I have to empty some out. A pretty addition to the feeder and the ants are no longer an issue.

These work! ONLY add WATER! Some mention adding a drop of Dish Soap or other; DO NOT! You can injure your Hummingbird friends! WATER does what it needs to do, ALL BY ITSELF! I had every kind of Ant getting into my feeders, kept moving from branch to branch, trying to stop the invasion…so, I purchased these glass moats, and now the invasions have stopped, completely. Remember to clean your feeders at least once a week, (More often when hot out, or in warmer regions,) as Mold will kill your Hummingbirds- Thank You.

I love that these match my existing red glass feeders. The ant issue is completely resolved. I think they are kind of expensive for what they are, but hey, I bought them anyway.

it's too bad the big box stores don't carry something like this....the orange one and the blue one only have some plastic chemical treated one...these look nice but they are real glass so don't drop them...and no ants....

I didn't know about these when I first got my hummingbird feeders. I picked out these ones and they have worked like a charm. I no longer see big ants or bugs in my feeders and they are really beautiful and help attract hummingbirds.

These are lovely, but I deducted one star because I was only sent enough hardware to hang one. So, I paid for two and can only use one. Other wise, a beautiful product.

They are pretty, keep the ants out and traps a few wasps too.

We have a real ant problem with our humming bird feeds. Since we installed these we have had no ants in the feeder. I would highly recommend these.

I have one holding a copper orange holder to keep the ants away and the second one is holding a feeder that has both an orange and a grape jelly feeder attached below it. It was fascinating watching those nasty little ants moving down the hook and once they reached the water they went back up the hook! Awesome! And the thing I really like is that they sparkle so much in the sunlight! They look so classy in my Bird Feeding Station!
