This lamp looks very nice on my vintage desk. I can charge my iPad while I am at my desk and the 3 lighting levels are great depending on the time of day and how much light is needed. I love the touch technology so I don’t have to struggle with a switch. The assembly directions were not much help however. They just said to screw in the bulb which was provided (which was very nice) but didn’t describe how to attach the shade. It was rather confusing as you had to REMOVE a lock nut and then put the shade on and then screw the lock nut tight. That was rather confusing to someone who is not mechanically inclined. My husband had to intervene and figure it out. Better instructions would be helpful for people like me since apparently putting in a lightbulb is the height of my talents. All in all I love the lamp. It looks great and functions well.

I bought this lamp for my guest room. It is a great bedside lamp. It turns on by touch so a guest doesn’t have to struggle turning it on. It has three levels of brightness that are also controlled by touch so it is easy to turn on, off or adjust even in the dark. It includes a USB port for charging that is also very convenient. It can be adjusted in unlimited range, facing to the ceiling or the ground or any direction needed. It is also very well made and actually replaced one from a different manufacturer that broke almost immediately.

This is a nice lamp. Assembly just involves screwing on a piece that holds the shade in place. There are no instructions, but it's easy enough to figure out. The lamp is nice and bright, and turning it on and dimming it just involves tapping on the base somewhere. Again, no instructions, but once you have it plugged in, you figure out what to do fairly quickly. Honestly, I'd probably have given it 4-1/2 stars, if that had been an option, just because of the absence of instructions. But otherwise, it was very well packed, performs as expected, and I like it a lot. By the way, there are two USB charger outlets on one side of the base and a regular AC outlet on the other. I don't think that's thoroughly explained in the description, but I find that very convenient. I got this one for my bedside, and I'm actually thinking about ordering another one for my desk.

Things in our beautiful world are mostly plastic, and this thing is mostly plastic. It replaces a much more robust Ikea "Ranarp" table lamp that was damaged from over-tightening. As for this item, the monicker, "Industrial" is a gross exaggeration. The positives: small footprint, touch activate feature, dimmable, attractive profile, usbs slots, additional power socket. The disappointing: overall cheapness; its featherweight heft guarantees that it will either wind up in the landfill at some point, or at the Goodwill on sale for 98 cents (the former more likely). Hey, at least it comes with a free Edison-style LED bulb. (upgraded from 3 stars to 4, so call it 3.5)

UPDATE Still working great after 3 years. I highly recommend buying it. I had been using this lamp for over 6 months with no problem when last week it started turning on by itself and I could not manually turn it on or off. I contacted the seller and received a response for a replacement in less than 24 hours. A new lamp arrived within 3 days!! I thoroughly recommend this dimmable lamp not only for its classic look and smart features but also for the seller - Brightworks- quick and polite response. Very rare for most Amazon sellers! I will look to Brightworks for future dependable products.

Nice lamp, but tough to install, and there are no instructions for putting the shade on. I bought it to replace my old one, which started humming at low illumination. Turns out this light bulb is the correct type and wattage for the old lamp, so no more humming.

I'm using it for a bedroom lamp. Having to just touch the base of the lamp to turn off, on, and to switch between brightness modes-which I've never had before--is surprisingly useful. No switch to grope for in the dark. Having different brightness levels in the bedroom is very useful, so you don't wake yourself or anyone else up with a bright light. The lamp looks very nice, a cut above other desk lamps yet not substantially more than many of them, some that look like they belong in a college dorm room-this doesn't. The head of the lamp adjusts up and down,. I"ve never had a lamp with a USB port. I plug my phone in there with a short cord. Makes the bedside table a bit neater though that's just an extra useful feature for me. I bought it because it was the nicest looking plain black lamp at a low price point. We needed a plain one for certain decorating reasons. Very pleased with my purchase. Especially being able to touch it on or off Some people mentioned difficulty with not having instructions on how to put it together. Assembly was intuitive and took only a few minutes (less than 5). I don't recall there being directions (or not-I didn't use any) but it was no problem if you think about what is in front of you for a moment. There's a limited amount of options if you were to make a mistake-this isn't like putting together some furniture not complex at all.

As beautiful as this lamp is, it isn’t super bright. However it is perfect desk lighting. It’s sleek and does not take a lot of space. The USB chargers are so nice and convenient. They blend in well and don’t make the lamp look cheap. Definitely worth it for the price.
