Very happy novice sewer
I saw this used on a YouTube video & decided to buy a roll to give it a try. I just started sewing again after more 45 years away. I have since reordered several rolls to be sure I have plenty. This stuff is magic! It has made all the difference to my sewing and hemming projects. I’m not sure how it got any bad reviews unless maybe the roll got too hot during shipping or something similar. If someone with a Home Ec sewing education from over 45 years ago can use it, not sure why it would be so much trouble for others. At 64, my eyesight is not what it use to be & I have some arthritis in my hands. This stuff is great. Buy a roll & give it a try. You won’t be sorry!

One of my go to items for sewing difficult fabrics
When I'm using spandex or any other fabric that just refuses to stay in place, I usually use this tape and it always does the trick. This is especially helpful when you need to sew a very narrow hem and you don't want to deal with pins to hold things in place. You just put your tape where you want the fabric to be held and then sew accordingly. And that's pretty much it. The tape dissolves eventually and your needles don't get all gummed up. That's soooo important. To be able to sew through the tape and not worry about your needles getting sticky. This is probably the main reason why I use this particular product so much; it works and doesn't get my needles sticky. Overall good product. Highly recommended.

great for lazy, highly intelligent creators of things
The only way I'd give this a better rating is if it was free. I'm a newbie sewer, making mostly gear for camping and hiking and working mostly with slippery ripstop nylon and sewing on bits of velcro and grosgrain ribbon to things. So my stuff doesn't need to look real pretty, but it does need to work. and sometimes, using this magical product to shave off time and tedium of pinning and pinning and pinning, is a wonderful moment. If my cashflow situation was better, I'd use this ALL the time. As it stands, it's a lovely luxury for me. Brilliant little invention that's save me loads of time and a healthy dose of (I'm)patience pinning stuff. And even though I am a bit lazy when it comes to things like sewing, I like having the luxury of saying I'm smart and efficient using time saving tricks, which this product is all about.

Truly lives up to it’s name-Wonder
I use this to hold zippers in place prior to sewing. I make cosmetic bags by the dozens so not having to pin or clip anything together saves a lot of time. I wish I had this stuff years ago! It stays in place but the pieces can be adjusted if necessary. It washes away with no trace. Really does not gum the needle!

Great for stabilizing knit and stretch fabrics to sew hem on sewing machine
I used this to stabilize very stretchy fabrics as-well-as knit fabrics while hemming on sewing machine. It definitely kept the material from stretching as running under the pressure foot. Hemmed 4 tops using a blind hem stitch and 1 top using twin needles. I did also adjust the pressure on my machine to the lightest pressure setting. I will use this product again for sure.

Backing Hard to Remove
This does a great job for cotton and similar fabric. I use this on canvas for bag making and the hold requires using clips to keep it in place. But the reason for the three stars is how difficult it is to remove the backing when the original helper stripe is gone or cut. I find you have to use a pin or cut the layer to find where to pick it up. You also have to rub it in the fabric after you have placed it. The adhesive will pull up. I tried fabric tape and that provided great hold but was hard to sew through. So, I will try another brand of Wonder Tape and see if it is easier to pick up from the fabric.

MUST HAVE to hold tricky bits in place to sew.
This is the double sided, narrow sewing tape. I am a milliner and I create custom hats and handbags. I use this to hold items such as head size ribbons or brim edgings in place while hand sewing- it saves me several dozen pins. It is a MUST HAVE to secure zippers and pockets for sewing. Particularly helpful when using materials in which the holes are permanent such as leather and painted canvases.I can not attest to the wash away quality. I do not wash any of my items.

Best way to sew a zipper
This tape is a great way to hold a zipper in place during installation...no pins to break a needle or have to be pulled out at the last second. I could tape my zipper down, check that it was in exactly the spot I wanted and sew it down. I was able to reposition the zipper without a problem. I love it for sewing a zipper!!

What it says on the box?
I did love this, used it for a very delicate, hand sewn lace hem and it made everything so nice and easy, but ( curious beast that I am) even though the hem looked absolutely fine, I did wonder about the 'washaway' claim. SO, I rinsed the finished item a few times in room temperature water. I do seem to still be able to glimpse that tape back there.Maybe it's me, I mean, it is so thin anyway, see through too, only barely visible and maybe using detergent completely dissolves it.Either way, it's the best, made the job a heck of a lot easier, the hem looks great, I'm giving this the thumbs up and full five stars.

Although it took a long time to arrive, this ...
Although it took a long time to arrive ,this is a clever product. I used it to place a ribbon trim on a skirt ,faux panels, and it was so much easier than matching up the tailor tacks .Next plan is to use as a stabiliser for hem on lace.

Fiddley but works
Fiddley to use but does the job when stitching stretch knits that are a little thin and do not stich well with twin needles.
